My Hero Academia has brought Season 7 of the anime to an end, and the final episode of the season made sure to remind fans that All Might is still the number one hero at heart and won’t go down without a fight. My Hero Academia Season 7 officially began the final fight between the heroes and villains as the heroes kicked off their plan to separate the key villains from one another. As the anime worked through the rest of the season, fans saw how each of these fights would come to their respective ends as everything hit a new peak of chaos.

My Hero Academia brought the final episode of Season 7’s run to an end with a final key fight between All Might and All For One. The villain had been getting increasingly powerful due to the Rewind quirk both healing all of the damage he had taken and making him younger, and thus All Might was hoping to use this in order to rattle the villain. Hoping to stop him before All For One could unite with Tomura Shigaraki, All Might unleashed a new set of armor to help bring the villain down by any means necessary. Still proving that through it all, he’s still very much a hero down to his core.

All Might Fights Against All For One Without a Quirk

My Hero Academia’s Season 7 finale picks up right after All Might stood in front of All For One. Despite All For One knowing that he needs to get to Shigaraki as soon as possible, All Might himself knows that only he can pester the villain to his core. Noticing that Rewind is making All For One’s body younger by the second with the more damage he steadily takes, All For One can’t resist one more fight against his greatest foe. It’s this that All Might uses to his advantage and begins a one on one fight that he knows that he just can’t win. Even still, All Might refuses to relent.

Almost maniacal in the way he continues to laugh through it all, All Might is fighting All For One at his full power. All Might is using an armor suit that mirrors all of the abilities of the members of Class 1-A, and it’s showcasing how much the former number one hero has been working from the sidelines while Izuku Midoriya and the others have been fighting. Although he no longer has the One For All power that he used to, he’s now at a place where he also finally figured out how to help regardless of his own quirklessness. It’s something he once knew by heart, but has only been reminded of through all of the chaos in the war thus far.

Why All Might Is Still the Number One Hero

This is the All Might that fans fell in love with. All Might started to worry about his place in hero society following his loss of One For All, but after all this time he’s finally figured it out. He’s going to do whatever it takes to protect the future, and even if it means he’ll lose his own life in the process, All Might refuses to back down. This is what made him the ultimate symbol of peace for the world. It’s that unrelenting heroic spirit at his core and that desire to save others.

It wasn’t All Might’s power or abilities that made him the symbol. It’s the fact that he just keeps fighting regardless of everything that’s happened. It’s what he’s doing here as My Hero Academia Season 7 comes to an end, and it’s what’s going to carry him into the future of the anime. Because even while he himself does not realize that he still has plenty of impact on the world, the fact he continues to fight on anyway is what’s really going to make a difference.

It’s these moments that will inspire. It’s what Deku continues to do even as his body falls apart. Knowing that you’re doing what you can even in the worst circumstances is that true heroic spirit that heroes should embody, and it’s what All Might is now doing as a true symbol of hope for the future. As My Hero Academia prepares to return for its eighth and final season of the TV anime next year, this All Might is going to burn brighter as a hero than any other time he’s been seen in the anime to date.

The teaser trailer doesn’t show much in the way of spoilers, but we are given an intense look at Deku. With One For All surging through him, our hero looks ready to end the war with Shigaraki, and netizens are eager to see how that final fight plays out.

MY HERO ACADEMIA WILL END WITH SEASON EIGHT

After all, My Hero Academia has quite a bit to answer with season eight. The anime brought its seventh season to a close this month, and the finale was intense to say the least. In the lead up, Bakugo made his stand against Shigaraki, and the battle played out in the worst way. From Shoto to Toga and Hawks, a number of the anime’s top characters saw their arcs close by the end of season seven. These days, anime fans are eating good. From television to film, the industry is working double time to roll out hit after hit. The rise of anime has turned the medium into a go-to for audiences young and old, and it is not alone in that. Animation is making waves online thanks to hits like The Wild Robot and Transformers One. And thanks to the debt of My Hero Academia: You’re Next, animation just made history at the U.S. box office.

The update went live on October 13 as the weekend totals for the U.S. box office went live. It was there fans got a peek at the Top 10 Films at the box office, and for the first time in history, half of the list was dominated by animation. All we needed was a little push from Bakugo, huh?

ANIMATION DOMINATES THE U.S. BOX OFFICE WITH DEKU’S HELP

According to the box office numbers, The Wild Robot made a run for first place over the weekend, but Terrifier 3 took home the gold. For a breakdown of the Top 10 list, you can find the box office returns below:

As you can see above, a slew of animated projects ranked at the U.S. box office this weekend. From local premieres to franchise hits and returning faves, theaters are definitely toeing into anime. This record comes not long after Look Back made its U.S. debut, and the project soared past everyone’s expectations. GKIDS Films grossed $1.5 million USD after its limited run was expanded. According to the licensor, Look Back was one of the highest-grossing movies at the U.S. box office this year outside of Hollywood’s major distributors. So clearly, anime and animation are on a roll.

UNPACKING THE FUTURE OF MY HERO ACADEMIA

Currently, My Hero Academia: You’re Next has earned just over $3 million USD, and it has grossed more than $26 million globally. The movie made its debut in Japan a few months ago, and locals showered the title with praise. After all, My Hero Academia: You’re Next is set during the anime’s seventh season, and it builds up to the war against All For One. But rather than the hated. villain, this film deals with a copycat foe known only as Dark Might.

The success of My Hero Academia at the box office is hardly surprising as the anime’s previous films have been met with solid reviews. With this latest movie screening stateside, all eyes are now turning to My Hero Academia season eight. Not long ago, Studio Bones confirmed the new season is in the works, and season eight will be the last for My Hero Academia. The show is slated to return in 2026. Throughout the month of October WWE Superstar Zelina Vega is teaming with ComicBook for a special series, sharing first looks at her cosplays as the Halloween season draws closer. For those unfamiliar with Zelina, she’s a huge fan of all things nerdy. Whether it’s video games, anime or manga, she incorporates her favorite nerdy things into her in-ring looks. Over the course of the past few weeks, she’s shared jaw-dropping cosplays from Sailor Moon, Naruto and Tokyo Ghoul.

This week, Zelina stuns as Shoto Todoroki, one of the fan-favorites from the My Hero Academia series created by Kōhei Horikoshi. You’ll probably notice that this isn’t the first time she’s made a nod to the character — on recent episodes of WWE Raw, she’s made several tributes to him. Now she’s taking it up a notch, rocking a blue jumpsuit that’s similar to his own.

She completes the look with a the menacing burn which Shoto obtained the injury when his mother, Rei, poured boiling water to his eye. She encountered abuse from Shoto’s father, causing her to snap and pour the water on the side of his face that reminded her of his father. In a moment of panic, she tried to cool it down with her Quirk but all it created was an ice burn which has become his recognizing mark.

“I couldn’t do Halloween this year without doing Shoto Todoroki! Anyone who has seen my hair in recent months can automatically tell who my favorite character is from My Hero Academia,” Zelina told ComicBook. “My friends who had seen the series before I did knew that I would love him right away. Aesthetically, his hair matching his power and personality is DOPE. Guess you can already tell that I have a thing for mysterious, tortured souls.”

Who is My Hero Academia‘s Shoto Todoroki?

As one of the most beloved My Hero Academia characters, that fans have always believed in strongly and connected with, Shoto is also very powerful and skillful. While he battles with his own demons due to his upbringing that has caused him to grow cold as he’s gotten older, he’s also undergone tremendous growth. He’s able to use his fire and ice capabilities that yield him impressive results; he also fares extremely well in his academia which is no easy feat.

His complicated family life and hatred for what others wanted him to be versus what he wanted to be is very relatable and tugs on the heart strings a bit,” Zelina continued. “His journey to acceptance and power is very fun to watch. Fire and ice is also very relatable to this Latina. I’ve always said that I had two sides to me, and you don’t want to piss either of them off!”

My Hero Academia has officially ended Season 7 of the TV anime, so now it’s time to get ready for what’s going to down in the final season coming next. Following the end of My Hero Academia‘s Season 7 finale, it was quickly announced that Season 8 is already in the works for a return to screens some time in 2025. This new season coming next year will also serve as the final season of the TV anime overall, and that means fans are going to get to see how it’s all going to end with the anime’s final episodes wrapping up the final battles.

My Hero Academia is now in the midst of the climax of the final war between the heroes and villains. Season 7 ends with even more of the key fights against the villains reaching their respective conclusions, and that only leaves a few of the final fights before it can all come to an end. With Kohei Horikoshi’s original My Hero Academia manga ending its run with Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine earlier this Summer, it’s a pretty clear path for the anime as it readies to anime the series’ grand finale next year.

What’s Happening With Deku in My Hero Academia’s Final Season?

In the first look at My Hero Academia’s eighth and final season, Izuku Midoriya is seen using Blackwhip to wrap around his body in a new way. It’s resulted in a much fiercer look for Deku heading into the final season, and it teases the kind of extremes that this fight will push Deku in the final episodes. This is the first look at the anime’s take on the “Deku Overlay” form, a form used by Deku in the manga as a way to force his body to keep on moving long after his limbs and muscles stop responding to him.

It’s a savage looking form that mirrors Deku’s vigilante period ahead of the final fights, and it’s something that only comes out because Shigaraki’s use of All For One’s power takes him to that point. Deku’s fight against Shigaraki only just got started as seen in Season 7 with his first use of Gearshift (resulting in one of the best animated scenes of the season), and it won’t be until the final season that we really get to see the full fight between the two. Which makes sense as it’s supposed to be the final fight.

What’s Happening to All Might in My Hero Academia’s Final Season?

Deku’s not the only one we’re going to need to keep an eye on heading into My Hero Academia‘s final season either. As seen in the final episode of Season 7, All Might is now in his final clash against All For One. With the villain intending to rush over to Shigaraki’s side so that he can fully take over Shigaraki’s body, All Might has joined the fight in an attempt to slow down the villain as much as possible. Despite no longer having access to One For All’s power, All Might has unleashed a new power armor that’s helping him temporarily keep up with All For One’s impressive strength.

The final episode of My Hero Academia Season 7 ends this fight in its climax as both All Might and Deku are the final ones really standing who can take on All For One and Shigaraki. All Might’s fate in this fight is far less secure as All For One is now stronger than he ever has been before, but the former number one hero’s goal isn’t to actually defeat All For One. He wants to keep wearing down All For One’s body so that his Rewind quirk continues to make him younger, and the villain has no idea it’s happening as the season comes to an end.

All Might’s life is now in the balance along with all of the other heroes that have either ended their respective fights, or are still in the middle of theirs. Characters like Katsuki Bakugo and Ochaco Uraraka are seen taking fatal wounds and have been on their final breaths as the season came to an end. It means that when My Hero Academia Season 8 returns next year, it’s going to need to settle the final fates for each of these characters as these big fights reach their grand finale.

How Will My Hero Academia End?

With Kohei Horikoshi’s original My Hero Academia manga already reaching its end earlier this Summer, it’s a clear road to the end of the anime’s run as well. My Hero Academia Season 7 ends with material adapted from Chapter 398 of the manga, and that means the final episodes will be taking on the final 32 chapters worth of material. This likely means Season 8’s going to be a lengthy one from just the manga’s final chapters alone, and the anime then could take it one step further with additional content.

One of the benefits from being an anime coming after the manga’s ending is to see how that ending was received, and could be adjusted for a new medium and audience. My Hero Academia’s final chapters had a divisive response among fans, and it was especially true for the final chapter itself. The anime could take this into account and be sure that it’s a satisfying conclusion after eight seasons of work. But whether or not fans are ready for it, this is truly the beginning of the end.

My Hero Academia‘s going to end with a final battle to end it all, but there is also time spent to explore the fallout of everything that happened as Deku and the others get ready for their respective futures. It’s something the anime has been building to with everything that’s happened to them thus far, and it’s an ending that fans will be able to see go down next year in the eighth and final season.

My Hero Academia Season 7 has come to an end now that the Fall 2024 anime schedule is releasing at full power, and the final moments of the finale is setting up Armored All Might’s final stand against All For One. My Hero Academia is now in the real climax of the final war between the heroes and villains as there are only a few key fights left to finish before it can all come to an end. One of these fights is a total surprise, however, as All Might has found a way to take on All For One one last time to end their long history.

My Hero Academia Season 7 kicked off the first of the final fights that fans will need to see end before the anime can reach its ultimate conclusion as All Might is now fighting a supremely powerful All for One. Although All Might no longer has any quirks of his own, he’s jumped into the fight to stall the villain by any means possible. His new power armor has been torn away by the villain, but he clearly has no intention of backing down as Season 7 of the anime comes to an end.

My Hero Academia: Armored All Might vs. All For One

My Hero Academia‘s Season 7 finale picks up right from when All Might had jumped into All For One’s path. The villain was intending to speed over to Tomura Shigaraki so that he could take over his body, and All Might was willing to do whatever it takes to stop him from getting there. All For One continues to get stronger with the more his body rewinds, but All Might reveals a new power armor that he’s developed ever since watching the members of Class 1-A train and use their various abilities.

Armored All Might uses technology and weapons developed by Melissa Shield in the United States (as seen from the My Hero Academia: Two Heroes movie), and they replicated Class 1-A’s quirks as All Might’s using them to have any kind of edge against All For One. The villain’s pushing him away easily with each attack, but All Might then notices his efforts are not wasted. For all of the damage he’s done, All Might sees that All For One’s body is being rewound at a faster rate the more he heals from all of the attacks thrown at him.

My Hero Academia: What’s Next for All Might?

This is where My Hero Academia Season 7 ends as All Might maniacally laughs about the fact that he’s actually making a difference against All For One, and the villain himself hasn’t seemed to notice the issue yet. It’s here that he activates even more of his armor’s final abilities to keep up the fight. At the same time, Izuku Midoriya can feel within One For All that All Might’s fighting for his life, and it’s a matter of whether or not this will actually turn out to be the former number one hero’s final stand.

We’ll be able to see all of this come to an end soon enough as My Hero Academia is now in the works on returning with Season 8 of the anime. This will also serve as the final season for the franchise overall, and is currently scheduled to release some time in 2025. This final season will not only be wrapping up this final fight between All Might and All For One, but the final clash between Deku and Shigaraki as well along with any of the other smaller threads that need to be settled before the grand finale.

My Hero Academia has brought Season 7 of the anime to an end, and it was the best season of the series in years. Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga officially ended its run within the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine earlier this Summer, and with it fans got to see how the series all came to an end. But for fans of the anime, the beginning of the end started with the premiere of Season 7 earlier this Summer instead. It’s been a strong season of episodes given the material it’s been able to adapt, and it’s gotten that notable fan interest back as it all readies for that grand finale next.

My Hero Academia will be coming to an overall end with Season 8 of the anime, currently scheduled to make its premiere some time next year. Hype for the series is now at a fever pitch as anime fans eagerly anticipate the end, and that’s a much different kind of vibe for the series that it had going into Season 7. Before this season, the interest in My Hero Academia was waning in the faces of new action contenders like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba or Jujutsu Kaisen releasing in the meantime.

What Happened to the My Hero Academia Anime?

The perspective for My Hero Academia’s anime began to shift following the end of the third season. The series was at its highest peak yet as All Might and All For One had their massive clash, and it was setting up a new era for the series as Izuku Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki were supposedly going to be taking up the fight left over from their respective predecessors. It was a bright future ahead for the series, and fervor for My Hero Academia as a franchise was at an all time high.

The third season of the anime is when the former Funimation began to release SimulDub episodes of My Hero Academia around the same time as the Japanese language versions released, and thus every My Hero Academia fan was able to get in on the conversation. And with everything that had been happening around that time (with the Hero License Exam leading to a fight between Deku and Bakugo at the end of the season too), there was quite a lot that fans wanted to discuss every week. Then a shift started to happen with Season 4 and beyond.

My Hero Academia Season 4 started to build the set up towards the finale we’re enjoying now. The Shie Hassaikai arc resulted in Deku getting to use One For All at 100% full power, and that was a memorable episode, but fans weren’t really interested in the path leading there. Even more so for what followed with the events of the Culture Festival arc, which ended with a much smaller scale fight between Deku and Gentle Criminal. It’s managed to pay off in Season 7, but back then it wasn’t the kind of climax fans were hoping to get after everything in Season 3.

This was then followed by even more set up in the seasons that followed. Season 5 spent quite a bit of time with the Hero License Exam and expanded the roster in huge ways, and then showcased more of the Todoroki Family drama. The cracks started to show with the divisive response to the anime’s take on the Meta Liberation Army arc, or better known by fans as the “My Villain Academia” saga. Condensing this fan favorite arc into a few episodes in between some of the other Season 5 events, it just didn’t feel as big as fans thought it would be for the anime.

It started to brew a mistrust that continued in the next season. Fans were wary watching Season 6 of the series as Shigaraki used his first slate of skills with All For One’s power, and the series ended on a cliffhanger that bigger events would be coming next. But once again, given some of the big moments from Kohei Horikoshi’s manga fans had been waiting to see animated, they were a bit let down by what was actually shown in Season 6. While it’s not like My Hero Academia has ever looked bad, it’s been two full seasons at that point without any of the grand showcase scenes that drew fans into the first four.

How My Hero Academia Season 7 Fixes Things

My Hero Academia Season 7 began this incredible turnaround to witness. Because Season 6 ended in a place of transition, Season 7 got to be as big as it was right from its premiere. Not only was it able to start off with the debut of Star and Stripe (and thus got to show off a whole new season of animation work with the fight that ensued), but it also got to adapt the material the series has been building towards. But while fans didn’t like a lot of that build up, Season 7 has showcased that it’s all been worth it.

Because fans might not have responded well to the Culture Festival or Hero License Exam arcs, but it’s all starting to pay off as these separate elements have been coming together in big ways. Gentle Criminal returned to save the heroes in one of the biggest turning points in the war in Season 7 overall, and we’ve seen the Ketsubutsu and Shiketsu High School students helping out in key rescues and in the fight against All For One. The anime is naturally reaching its climax and the anime is finally getting to bear fruit on all of those planted seeds as result.

This impeding ending is bringing all the lapsed fans back into the weekly watches, and helping matters is the fact that each episode this season has had something huge to show off. Whether it be a grand moment like when Deku started fighting against Shigaraki for the first real time (which offers one of the best animated sequences in the show’s history), or more emotional climaxes like between Ochaco Uraraka and Himiko Toga, each episode has had something huge go down as it’s clear that this is all heading towards that grand finale.

It’s that certainty that fans have been able to enjoy as My Hero Academia comes to an end, and it’s made the anime exciting again. It’s the most exciting the anime’s been in ages, and now it’s time to be ready for the final episode when it premieres next year. The beginning of the end is usually bittersweet, but Season 7 has been nothing but sweet.

My Hero Academia kickstarted its run earlier this Summer with the start of the final war between the heroes and villains. Izuku Midoriya and the heroes devised a plan to separate each of the key villains from one another across different battlefields, and fans have seen a result of each of these efforts through the fights seen in the latest season. But now that it’s over, the fallout of these fights still needs to be explored.

My Hero Academia Season 7 has been focusing its final stretch of episodes on bringing final conclusions to the final key fights, and with the final episode of the season fast approaching it really was only a matter of time before the anime would leave fans on a cliffhanger. As the anime readies to return next year with its eighth and final season, it means that the final fates of many of the heroes left in the wings are currently unclear as the anime waits to bring it all to its ultimate conclusion.

My Hero Academia: Who Dies in the Finale?

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 21 brings two of the final fights in the war to screen. The first is the final moments of the clash between Ochaco Uraraka and Himiko Toga, and Ochaco is struggling to breathe. She has lost a lot of blood due to how much she was moving around after taking a fatal wound from Toga, and thus is no longer able to move on her own. But rather than watch her die, Toga decides to do what Twice once did to save her when she was in the same position.

Using the final bit of her power to copy Ochaco once more, Toga begins a blood transfusion to replace the blood that Ochaco had lost during the fight. The last thing we see of the two is Toga hugging Ochaco closely, but it’s unclear as to whether or not this will actually save Ochaco from her death. And even if it does, it’s not likely that Toga will make it out of his war alive if she’s sacrificing her blood to somehow replace everything Ochaco has lost and continues to lose.

Will All Might Die?

The other members of Class 1-A are seen in various battles as My Hero Academia Season 7 comes to an end. The fates of Ochaco, Shoto Todoroki, Tenya Iida, Tsuyu Asui, and Fumikage Tokoyami are unclear as they have each lost consciousness in their fights in the war, and the season ends will all of them in various states of duress as fans have to wait for the final episodes coming next year to see how it all shakes out. But it’s an even bigger cliffhanger for Deku and All Might as they are now fighting All For One and Tomura Shigaraki.

These are the final major fights for the final war, and My Hero Academia has only started these two. While there are still a few final skermishes that need to be settled, All Might is clearly the biggest one to keep an eye out for as everything ends. He’s fighting an all powerful All For One without the use of any of his former One For All powers, and his death could be what sets the final season of the anime in motion towards its grand finale. It’s many fates left to be settled going forward.

My Hero Academia has officially brought Season 7 of the TV anime to an end, and with it has fully unleashed All Might’s own Iron Man armor in a final fight. Ever since it made its comeback to screens earlier this Summer, My Hero Academia Season 7 has been in the midst of the final battles between the heroes and villains. As the season drew closer to its finale, these fights have started to settle as several of the key villains and heroes have been taken out of commission. But All For One and Tomura Shigaraki are still very much prominent threats heading into the anime’s future.

My Hero Academia Season 7 has ended these fights on a pretty major cliffhanger that will be concluded with the release of Season 8 (serving as the final season of the anime overall) coming next year, and one of these fights is the final clash between All Might and All For One. With the villain getting stronger the more his Rewind quirk is used, All Might has jumped into the fray against his ultimate foe one last time in order to keep All For One from reaching Shigaraki and fully merging their power. Although he’s weaker, All Might still has a way to fight with a new set of Iron Man like armor. Check it out:

My Hero Academia: What Is Armored All Might?

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 21 picks up from where we had last seen All Might as he rushed out to where All For One was heading. As the villain was picking up speed, All Might jumped into the fray and it was revealed that his car and suitcase were actually a support item. Tsukauchi’s surprised to see All Might heading into the fight thinking the hero was making a final stand, but All Might clearly has no plans to fall to All For One thanks to his new gear.

Dubbing this new form “Armored All Might,” All Might explains that during the prepping period heading into these final fights, he actually made contact with Melissa Shield (from the My Hero Academia: Two Heroes movie, further placing them within the overall canon of the series) in the United States and she helped him craft this new armor. Not only does it reflect an armored version of his smiling visage normally seen when he was an active hero, but also has attacks that mirror what he’s seen with the young heroes of Class 1-A.

Armored All Might’s Powers Explained

As All Might uses his new armor against All For One, the hero reveals how much he had been watching the Class 1-A students ever since his fight with All For One back in the third season. All Might’s weapons really only last a single use against All For One thanks to the villain’s overwhelming power, but All Might sees that each of his attacks are forcing All For One’s Rewind to keep making his body younger with each attack he takes and has to recover from.

All Might, in tandem with his car and artificial intelligence Hercules, uses weapons that mirror each of Class 1-A’s techniques. Calling out Blackwhip sends out whips, he uses a version of Deku’s Shoot Style, and even stores a poison to be like Mina Ashido’s acid. It’s clear that he’s made full use of Deku’s kind of fighting style to put research into each of his moves (now that he’s not able to charge head on into fights without thinking like before), and this is only angering All For One even further.

Their fight is far from over, but we’ll see it come to an end with My Hero Academia Season 8 of the anime now scheduled for a release some time in 2025.

My Hero Academia ended things with a bang in its seventh season finale. While building up to the final season, the battles featuring All For One, All Might, Shigaraki, and Deku have been ramping up. These battles weren’t the only ones that filled the finale’s runtime as we were able to witness the aftermath of another big fight that was a highlight of season seven. In seeing another villain realizing that they might not have been in the right when it came to their reign of destruction, My Hero Academia has killed another antagonist who has long been a fan-favorite for those following UA Academy’s adventures.

Warning. If you have yet to watch My Hero Academia’s Seventh Season finale, be forewarned that we’ll be diving into major spoiler territory. In the penultimate episode of season seven, My Hero Academia viewers witnessed Himiko Toga and Uravity ending their fight. While the blood-drinking villain delivered a grievous wound to Ochaco, Toga realized that she could have lived a different life while remaining true to herself. Following her massive assault on the heroes by using the power of Twice, her Quirk’s ability finished while she witnessed Uravity bleeding out. Thanks to Toga stabbing Ochaco, the hero’s life was hanging on by a thread and the villain had one last decision to make.

R.I.P. Toga

Aside from simply gaining the appearance and powers of her targets, there is another key aspect to Toga’s Quirk when it comes to those she targets. Himiko is also able to transform perfectly into others, meaning that her blood type can change as well. Wanting Uravity to survive her injuries, Toga begins performing a blood transfusion that will ultimately save Ochaco’s life but will result in her own demise.

Toga has long been a fan-favorite in My Hero Academia’s history, presenting a perfect blend of mischief and menace when it came to her fights and her general outlook on life. While fans might be sad to learn that she won’t have a part to play in season eight, the final season of the anime adaptation, her legacy is sure to live on with fans and within the universe itself. Even with Toga redeemed and passing away, Class 1-A still has some serious problems on their hands.

The End is Nigh

Even with Toga’s death in the season finale, the villains’ passing might not be considered the biggest event to take place. In facing All For One, Toshinori Yagi has found the perfect way to substitute the loss of his super powers, sporting a suit of armor thanks to his super-charged vehicle Hercules. While the former Symbol of Peace All Might doesn’t think that he has much of a chance of defeating the demon lord, he might be able to buy his students a few more precious moments while causing All For One to de-age further.

On the other side of the battlefield, Deku is still struggling to defeat Shigaraki in a one-on-one battle that can be considered the final arc’s “grand event”. Thanks to Toga’s previous interference, Shigaraki now has full access to his Quirks and is looking to eliminate Midoriya to build his own “perfect world”. Even with characters like Dabi, Toga, and Spinner defeated, Shigaraki and All For One are strong enough on their own to change the future and make Hero Society a far worse place to live.

My Hero Academia has been documenting Class 1-A’s final battle in its seventh season so it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that the anime adaptation will have one more outing in the tank. What might be surprising is that Studio Bones has not only confirmed that season eight will be the series finale, but that anime fans won’t have to wait too long to see the results of Deku and Shigaraki’s cut throat duel. Alongside the announcement, the production house responsible for UA Academy has also revealed a new trailer, poster, and specific details as to the season that will bid a fond farewell to anime’s greatest superheroes.

In the seventh season finale, the battle between Himiko Toga and Uravity came to an end, with the former coming to the realization that maybe if she had tried to help others by giving her blood away, she could have lived a happier life. On other side of the battle, Toshinori Yagi, aka All Might, finally dons the long-awaited “Iron Man suit” that is made from parts of his stylish ride, Hercules. Considering All For One’s insurmountable power level, this isn’t a fight that All Might can win but his objective is to stall for time and hopefully, cause the demon lord to become even younger. While there are still many questions surrounding season eight, it’s sure to be one of the anime’s most explosive seasons to date.

My Hero Academia’s End is Nigh

Studio Bones released a new trailer and poster to confirm the eighth season and that it will bring Deku’s story to becoming one of the world’s greatest heroes to a close. On top of these tidbits, the production house also revealed that the season will arrive in 2025, meaning fans won’t have to wait long to see the final confrontation on the small screen. While a specific release date remains a mystery, shonen viewers might have to only wait a year at most to see who will determine the future of Hero Society.

My Hero Academia’s Grand Finale

There are only two major confrontations that remain in My Hero Academia’s anime and they both involve the clash between One For All and All For One. If the anime adaptation continues to follow the events of its source material, it will be interesting to see if the final season will be a shorter one than it’s seventh. With villains like Dabi, Toga, Spinner, and Gigantomachia defeated, Shigaraki and All For One are still standing and not everyone is making it out of the anime alive.

In terms of the anime’s future outside of the television series, My Hero Academia hasn’t confirmed that the recently released My Hero Academia: You’re Next will be the final film of the franchise. Potentially, we could see the series continue with at least one more film, though fans question when a future movie’s story would take place concerning the final battle. For those who are familiar with the manga’s final chapter, there is potential for an upcoming movie to explore some wild territory.

Will a My Hero Academia Sequel Be Made?

Creator Kohei Horikoshi has been tight-lipped regarding the idea of revisiting his superhero universe. Luckily, there is a possibility for more My Hero Academia anime projects in the future, especially considering that the spin-off series, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, could yield several seasons by exploring a new side of the shonen world. Whether UA Academy’s story continues at some point in the future, the shonen franchise’s legacy in the anime world won’t soon be forgotten.

My Hero Academia fans are preparing to say goodbye once again as the anime’s seventh season has one episode left before it comes to a close. With the penultimate installment ending the fight featuring the blood-drinking Himiko Toga and the gravity-manipulating hero Ochaco Uraka, there are still some big battles yet to be resolved. In the latest preview for the seventh season finale, anime viewers will witness the aftermath of the Uravity/Toga brawl and will see the opening salvo between All For One and All Might. In the final installment of season seven, expect some cataclysmic events to shake up Hero Society.

Luckily for the students of UA Academy, Uravity was able to talk down Toga to the point that the villain lost the power to create infinite doubles due to using Twice’s power. In a shocking turn of events, Ochaco was able to break through her opponent’s tough exterior and make sure that she wasn’t deadset on destroying the world around her. Unfortunately, this victory didn’t come without a price as Himiko was able to stab Uraka during their initial confrontation and things aren’t looking good for the hero on that front. As the seventh season draws closer to its end, viewers will need to steel themselves as not every character is making it out of the final war alive.

My Hero Academia Season Seven Finale Preview

As anime viewers have witnessed, Toshinori Yagi, aka All Might, isn’t as strong as he once was. In fact, thanks to his last fight with All Might, his ability to transform into his bulky self is completely gone. Keeping this in mind, the hero taking on the demon lord All For One seems like a nigh impossible task but those familiar with the manga know that the former symbol of peace has a serious ace up his sleeve.

My Hero Academia: Is Season 8 Coming?

As of the writing of this article, My Hero Academia has not officially confirmed that an eighth season is on the way. Based on the manga’s events, the next season is sure to be the anime’s last as the final battle will wrap and anime fans will receive a definitive answer as to who will claim victory in the final fight.

In the past, My Hero Academia’s anime has wasted little time in confirming that a new season was on the way following the conclusion of the previous season. Most likely, the same will be similar here as Studio BONES might be working on the final Class 1-A season as we speak. Based on what season seven has given anime viewers so far, expect the seventh season finale to have some shocking moments before the series’ final season.

Will A My Hero Academia Sequel Happen?

Creator Kohei Horikoshi has not hinted at returning to the superhero series with a new sequel and/or spin-off, but that hasn’t stopped the creator from offering new takes on the shonen universe. With the arrival of each episode on the small screen, the manga artist has been sharing new detailed art of his favorite heroes and villains. While Horikoshi will most likely never stop drawing, a new sequel series doesn’t appear to be in the cards as of the writing of this article.

Luckily, this doesn’t necessarily mean that we won’t see more My Hero Academia anime alongside the potential eighth season. With My Hero Academia: You’re Next hitting theaters this week in North America, it’s possible that more films could be on the way down the line. Also, a major spin-off series, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, has yet to be adapted to an anime and could run for several seasons to explore a new side of Horikoshi’s world.

My Hero Academia is speedily approaching the final episode of its run for Season 7, and the anime is baring Ochaco Uraraka’s soul as she’s made a major declaration of love before it all comes to an end. With My Hero Academia Season 7, the anime has been working its way through the final war between the heroes and villains. The final key fights have been taking place as some of the villains have been defeated by the heroes in their final gambits. But it’s been a much different path getting to that ultimate conclusion for Ochaco and Himiko Toga, however.

As My Hero Academia nears the final episode of its run for Season 7, Ochaco and Toga have been having a much different final clash than seen with the other heroes and villains. Although many of these conflicts have been emotionally charged, such as the fight between Dabi and the rest of the Todoroki family, Ochaco and Toga’s fight has been different. Ochaco’s been trying to reach a level of understanding with Toga, and its through their mutual desire for loves and to freely express that love is what brings them together. It’s here she fully expresses that she fell in love with Izuku Midoriya for the first real time in the series.

My Hero Academia: Ochaco and Toga Talk Love

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 20 continues Ochaco’s final fight with Toga, and the villain is nowhere near interested in trying to listen to Ochaco. The hero refuses to give up, however, as she’s seen Toga in pain and has been worried about what the true cause of it is. Because while they have crossed paths before, Toga has only ended their previous conflicts crying because she believes that there’s no way that a hero like Ochaco could possibly understand her.

But Ochaco understands love. She understands that Toga’s been doing everything she has for the sake of expressing that love. While she cannot overlook everything the villain has done in the sake of that love, and the harm she’s caused to others, it’s not something she’s going to totally condemn her for as she feels like Toga’s also not a complete lost cause. She’s doing all of this out of a hidden pain, and it’s what Ochaco understands the most as she too is someone in love that has yet to fully express those feelings as well.

Ochaco Confesses Her Love for Deku

In a final appeal to Toga, Ochaco screams out that she just wants to talk love with Toga as fellow girls. This is what ultimately starts breaking the dam around Toga as she truly starts to accept the emotional help and support Ochaco’s giving. It’s here that Toga bares more of her soul, and even says that she initially became a hero for what ended up being the wrong reasons. She wanted to do it at first to help her parents, but soon discovered that there are people out there who taught her to think much differently.

She’s changed through everything she’s been through, and she’s changed through her love for Izuku. She yells out that she loves Izuku, and this sharing of love is what helps clear the final hurdle Toga accepts that confession. Toga knows more than anyone about the pain of an unrequited love as she loved someone who looked just like Deku before all of this, and it’s that misunderstanding is ultimately what brought her to this point.

Now she’s got a friend in Ochaco that she didn’t have before, but it’s all at the cost of a bloody fight between the two as it’s clear that Ochaco is now closer to death than she ever has been at Toga’s hands. It’s a romance that’s turned tragic.

With the fourth film revealing an evil All Might dubbed Dark Might, the doppelganger to the former Symbol of Peace appears to be a worthy villain to Deku and his classmates. Luckily, Horikoshi was responsible for both the writing and art of this chapter, giving shonen readers one more installment from the legendary creator.

The seventh season of My Hero Academia has one episode left before it comes to an end. While an eighth, and potentially final, season hasn’t been confirmed by Studio BONES, the shonen superhero series has typically waited until a season finale to confirm that Class 1-A would make a comeback. While many of the battles of the final fight have ended, anime fans should expect a major development or two in this week’s season finale.

On the movie front, My Hero Academia: You’re Next hasn’t been confirmed to be the final outing of the anime series on the silver screen. Considering the fight against Dark Might seemingly takes place right before the series’ end, it will be interesting to see what a potential fifth movie will be and whether it might follow Deku and company far into the future.

My Hero Academia is now one more episode away from bringing Season 7 of the anime to an end, and it’s getting ready for that grand finale with a sneaky change to the ending. My Hero Academia Season 7 has been working through the first phases of the final war between the heroes and villains as many of the key final fights are coming to a close. The final members of the League of Villains are now in the mix on their final conflicts against their respective heroic targets, and fans have seen these fights steadily end as the season draws to a close. 

With My Hero Academia Season 7 preparing to air its final episode this year, the anime its current run on the emotional conflict between Ochaco Uraraka and Himiko Toga. Rather than trying to kill one another, Ochaco’s goal in this final conflict was to bridge the gap between the two of them. Ochaco wanted to really get to the heart of why Toga was feeling so much pain, and it was metaphorically shown to fans through a visual of the two of their childhood selves bonding in the midst of battle. How My Hero Academia Changes Season 7 Ending

The ending theme sequence for My Hero Academia Season 7 stays relatively the same as the rest of the episodes, but it’s a bit different following everything that happened in penultimate episode of its run. My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 20 saw Ochaco and Toga finally connect on a deeper emotional level at the cost of some great physical pain dealt to Ochaco, but it’s what the young hero had been trying to do. And with their connection, the ending theme sequence also reveals the two of their younger selves connecting as well. 

It’s a major pivot heading into the next (and potentially final) season of My Hero Academia too. Because while All For One and Tomura Shigaraki are seeking to destroy everything, and thus it’s made it seem like the only way to take them down is through aggression. But as Ochaco is now reaching out to Toga in this certain way, the two of them have brought about a much different ending to their conflict than fans might have expected. A fight that will reach its ultimate conclusion when the season ends.

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 21 is titled “Battle Without a Quirk,” and will be premiering on Saturday, October 12th in Japan. The final episode will then be available for streaming with Crunchyroll and Hulu when it premieres, and it will be showing off a few final things before the season can end. Not only will we see the final fallout of this fight between Ochaco and Toga as Ochaco is clearly bleeding out from the fatal wound she’s taken in this confrontation, but we’re also going to get to see one final fight as the season readies for what’s next. 

While My Hero Academia will be ending on a cliffhanger heading into the future of the anime, it’s going to go out with a bang as it will be showcasing the final fight between All Might and All For One. To keep the villain away from Shigaraki and fusing their power, All Might’s got one final trick up his sleeve to slow All For One down in an attempt to bring this war between the heroes and villains to its ultimate conclusion.

My Hero Academia Season 7 is quickly approaching its end, and the anime has shared the first look at what’s going down in the final episode. My Hero Academia Season 7 got a late start this Summer as after a few special episodes recapping important events from the anime’s past, the season kicked off the final war between the heroes and villains. With Kohei Horikoshi‘s original My Hero Academia manga coming to an end earlier this Summer, it’s left the anime with a clear path to the end as fans anticipate how each of these final fights will reach their respective conclusions. 

My Hero Academia Season 7 has been one intense fight after another as fans have seen each of the final League of Villains members reach their respective ends against the heroes. With Spinner, Dabi, and now Himiko Toga seemingly defeated by the heroes as the anime reaches its final episode of the season, My Hero Academia only has a few more key villains to deal with before it’s all over. That includes the seemingly invincible All For One, and he’s heading straight for a major fight with the preview for My Hero Academia’s Season 7 finale. 

How Will My Hero Academia Season 7 End? 

My Hero Academia Season 7 has been spending the last few episodes of its run exploring the final fights between the heroes and villains, and thus has resulted in some key victories for the heroes. Shoto Todoroki and the rest of his family were able to snuff out Dabi’s final flames before he took out the whole area in an explosion, Spinner was successful stopped by Mezo Shoji as the meta-humans realized they were misdirecting their anger for the wrong cause, and Ochaco Uraraka was able to directly connect with Himiko Toga’s emotions. 

But as seen in the episodes prior, All For One was seemingly only getting strong. As his take on the Rewind quirk keeps rewinding his body to his physical peak the more he takes damage, he’s also getting far more aggressive than he usually would. It also means he’s starting to lose patience and thus is now heading straight for Shigaraki in order to take over his body completely. But there’s one hero who’s still able to stand in the way before it gets to be too late, All Might, in a whole new kind of fight for the hero and adversary. 

How to Watch My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 21

This will all come to pass in the final episode of the season. My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 21 is titled “Battle Without a Quirk,” and as the title suggests, it’s going to feature All Might’s first fight since losing One For All way back in Season 3. With All For One being as strong as he is right now, it’s going to be a tough fight for All Might but it’s clear that the former number one hero has something big in mind to even the odds for as long as he can in order to keep the villain away from Shigaraki. 

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 21 will be premiering on Saturday, October 12th in Japan, and it will be streaming with Crunchyroll and Hulu when it finally hits. This will serve as the final episode of the season, and will help to set the stage for what’s to come in the eighth and potential final season of the series. There’s no much left to adapt, but also quite a bit that could come our way. But this is the first step towards that grand finale.

My Hero Academia is now one step closer to bringing Season 7 of the anime to an end, and the penultimate episode of the season brought Ochaco Uraraka to the next level with a full quirk evolution. My Hero Academia Season 7 is nearing the final episode of its run for the extended Summer, and with it fans have gotten to see some of the final fights between the heroes and villains coming to their respective ends. Following the Todoroki Famiy’s successful defeat of Dabi before things got even worse, Himiko Toga felt more of it all on top of her shoulders. 

Toga has been in an interesting position as while she desires to carry on Twice’s spirit in a bid of revenge, she’s also discovered that she can’t quite use his power as fully as she thinks she could. Finding out that she doesn’t care for the League of Villains members as much as she thought she did before, Toga’s been dealing with a twisted emotional state as Ochaco is trying her best to reach out to the villain and find a common ground. Through their fight, Ochaco has both a physical and emotional breakthrough that ultimately brings her quirk to a new level of power. 

What Happens in My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 20? 

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 20 continues Ochaco’s fight against Toga and the army of Twice doubles she’s been filling the area with. The heroes are struggling against how to deal with the growing mass of foes, but Ochaco herself has not taken her eyes off of the real Toga. After seeing her use this power and it resulting in tears, Ochaco was sure she finally understood Toga. Although it had taken some time to understand where the villain was coming from, Ochaco understood that Toga’s just a hurt girl trying to do her best for those she loves. 

These final confrontations with Toga have shown Ochaco that the villain is really just a girl like her. Her love was misunderstood, and it’s turned her into the villain she is today. Toga just wants to love and be loved in return, and Ochaco reaches out through this fight to be the one who can do so. She knows she’s right there on the brink of it all as Toga has loved Ochaco too, and the hero refuses to relent as she pushes her quirk more and more against all of the Twice doubles that Toga throws her way. 

What Happens to Ochaco? 

As Ochaco pushes her way through the Twice doubles, Toga stabs her right in the chest. Despite the wounds, and despite Toga actively trying to kill her, Ochaco is only responding with love and support. She’s actively reaching out for Toga through all of this, and soon enough she pushes her body to brink. In doing so, Ochaco’s quirk evolves to the point where not only those she has directly touched are sent into the sky but all those that are connected to them as well. As long as they’re touching, they’re floating. 

Ochaco uses her new quirk power, and it’s another way that she and Toga connect. Toga realizes that she was able to evolve her own quirk when she was on the brink of death, and it helped her to also see that Ochaco is like her as well. She just wanted to connect, and Toga finally sees Ochaco as she is. They’re two girls caught in the middle of all of this, and they both just want love rather than all of this pain. Even Ochaco’s evolved quirk doesn’t result in pain, and this seemed to finally break through Toga’s hardened shell.

There has never quite been a villain like My Hero Academia’s Himiko Toga. The blood-drinking villainess might have a powerset that has made her nigh invincible but in her heart, she remains a girl who cannot quite understand why the world won’t accept her differences. Needless to say, considering her differences involve drinking the blood of others, it’s a little easy to understand why her tendencies put some off. In the penultimate seventh-season episode of the anime adaptation, Toga gets her moment to shine as the fight against Uravity ends in one of the biggest battles of the series to date.

Warning. If you have yet to watch the latest episode of My Hero Academia’s seventh season, “A Girl’s Ego”, be forewarned that we’ll be diving into major spoiler territory. Even amongst the likes of Dabi, Shigaraki, and All For One, Toga might have evolved to a level wherein she has become the strongest League of Villains member. Drinking the blood of her fallen friend Twice, Himiko is creating infinite doubles that are overwhelming Class 1-A and Hero Society’s professional crime fighters on a wild scale. Luckily, Ochaco thinks she knows the best way to stop Toga’s reign of destruction as Uravity wants nothing more than to have a conversation with the troubled antagonist.

Toga’s Troubles

As anime fans witness in the seventh season’s penultimate episode, Toga is struggling with her early days. As she unleashes a string of never-ending clones thanks to Sad Man’s Parade, Himiko recalls her parents wanting nothing to do with her thanks to her tendency to drink the blood of others. Taking her anger out on the world, the antagonist finds her place with the League of Villains as the group of Shigaraki, Mr. Compress, Spinner, Dabi, and Twice accept her for who she is.

In some touching scenes, Uravity talks with Toga to learn more about her and accept the villain despite her idiosyncratic tendencies. Even after being stabbed by Himiko, Ochaco lays everything on the line and in doing so, evolves her Quirk to a new level. Now, Uravity’s gravity-manipulating powers allow her to not only make Toga float, but her endless number of clones that were overwhelming the heroes. Coming face-to-face with the twisted blood-drinker, Ochaco does the impossible and breaks through Himiko’s tough exterior.

The Toga/Ochaco Fight Ends

While Toga’s Quirk allows her to steal the powers of others should she drink their blood, this ability only lasts for a limited time. In the instance of Twice, she could only create Doubles depending on how much blood of her fallen friend she drank. Thanks to Ochaco wasting time conversing with the villain, Toga loses her ultimate power but gains something in return, a new friend. Asking Ochaco if she is “cute”, the Class 1-A student and the League of Villains member gain an understanding of one another and the fight comes to an end. 

While the battle might be over in “A Girl’s Ego”, the question remains if both combatants will survive the experience. Thanks to the wound Ochaco received from Toga, the hero is losing blood fast and despite claiming a victory, who is to say if Deku’s crush will make it out of season seven alive? Luckily, My Hero Academia has one episode left to answer some main questions before the seventh season ends.

It is almost time for My Hero Academia to return to theaters. It has been some time since the anime’s third film went live, but this month will mark the U.S. launch of My Hero Academia: You’re Next. The movie promises to unleash Class 1-A as war threatens to take over Japan and a new villain rises to the top. Now, a brand-new clip has gone live for My Hero Academia: You’re Next, and it focuses on All Might’s worst nightmare.

As you can see below, the new clip comes courtesy of Toho International and IGN. The footage, which is dubbed, brings Dark Might to life as he fights Deku and a newcomer named Giulio Gandini. Imaged after All Might, this new villain is determined to carry the hero’s legacy into the shadows, but Deku is not about to let his mentor’s reputation be sullied.

My Hero Academia Brings Dark Might to Life

In this new clip, My Hero Academia: You’re Next puts Dark Might in charge as he siphons power from Anna Scervino. Deku and Giulio take a crack at the villain, but Dark Might is not easy to stumble. He handles the tag-team well enough and even promises that the power will be washed with Dark Might’s color before long.

Of course, it is easy to see why Deku has an issue with Dark Might. The man is not only a villain plotting against his nation, but he is sullying All Might’s image. Dark Might appears to worship the Symbol of Peace, but that obsession has been corrupted. Rather than following All Might as a hero, Dark Might wants to make people rethink the way they see the legend. Deku and Class 1-A are not going to let that happen. And as for Giulio, he becomes involved with Dark Might thanks to his mysterious ties with Anna.

My Hero Academia has a rich film history, and its next release looks just as good as its previous entries. The anime got started in theaters with My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, and the 2018 was followed by a second film in 2019. My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising and My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission have been solid hits with fans. Series creator Kohei Horikoshi even made the films canon to the main series which is a rarity for anime features. Now, My Hero Academia: You’re Next is set to continue that trend as it is set just before the anime’s seventh season.

When Does My Hero Academia: You’re Next Debut?

If you are ready to check out My Hero Academia: You’re Next, the movie will hit U.S. theaters on October 11. The team at Toho International is overseeing the release. When it comes to English Dubs to popular anime series, there are always sure to be changes that need to be made when presenting a property to Western audiences. Certain voices might sound slightly different, lines are delivered differently to better fit the motions of the characters, and names might be changed depending on the circumstances. My Hero Academia for example wasn’t free from making some changes to its English Dub versus its original Japanese iteration and the latest installment of the former proves it. In depicting the character Camie during her last-minute rescue of Hawks, My Hero Academia’s English scriptwriter shared their thoughts on capturing the hero’s “Gen-Z” aesthetic.

To refresh anime fans’ memories, the moment in question in My Hero Academia’s seventh season saw Hawks, the number two hero, in quite a dire predicament. Trying his best to stop All For One from making his way to Shigaraki, the young villain set to carry on his evil legacy, Hawks is saved from a devastating attack thanks to Camie. Jumping in at just the right moment, Camie’s Quirk, Glamour, allowed her to save the number two hero by creating an illusion, while in the English dub version, delivering some repertoire that has viewers thinking of “Generation Z”. 

My Hero’s Gen-Z Line Delivery Explained

Camie’s hilarious line that was delivered in the English Dub reads, “Whoa, big yikes, like that was for realsies close. Hawks is a total rizzcake, you can’t unalive that snack, I’d enter my grief era.” Said line was created by My Hero Academia’s North American script writer, Jeramey Kraatz, who made sure to acknowledge his love of Camie’s dialogue and the inclusion of the phrase, “rizzcake”. As the anime adaptation continues, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on any other amazing line delivery from Camie and her cohorts.

My Hero Academia’s Seventh Season Finale

There are two episodes remaining in My Hero Academia’s seventh season and while a major villain has fallen thanks to the Todoroki clan taking down Dabi, there remain quite a few fights for our favorite anime superheroes. In the latest preview for the next anime episode, Toga and Uravity are set to come face-to-face once again as Ochaco tries to stop her blood-drinking arch-enemy from doing further damage to Hero Society. Considering that Toga has the ability to create infinite doubles of herself, this is going to be one of Uravity’s toughest fights to date.

On top of this conflict, there’s still the question regarding who will claim victory in the fight featuring Deku and Shigaraki. Now that Eraserhead and Monoma are no longer suppressing Shigaraki’s Quirks, Izuku Midoriya is going to need all the Vestiges’ powers to win the day. Of course, the “real” All For One is still out there and is now facing down a powerless All Might, who has since retired from the battlefield thanks to their previous battle. Luckily, Toshinori Yagi has a trump card that is about to be a big part of My Hero Academia’s final fight. While an eighth season has yet to be confirmed, it feels like a sure thing to wrap the story of Deku and his fellow heroes on the small screen.

One of the biggest battles of My Hero Academia’s final fight has ended, as the Todoroki family reunion has resulted in the villainous Dabi being defeated. Toya Todoroki might hold some serious hate in his heart for his parents and his siblings, but the likes of Endeavor, Rei, Shoto Todoroki, and his siblings were more than enough to bring Dabi down. While only two episodes remain in the anime adaptation’s latest season, the final battle is looking to go out with a bang as Uravity will take on Toga in a fight that seems far more in favor of the villain than the gravity-manipulating hero.

While Toga might have hit the scene with only the power to take on the appearance of those she stole blood from, the villain’s Quirk has evolved to drastic levels at this stage in the superhero shonen series. During her fight against the Meta Liberation Army in My Hero Academia’s fifth season, the antagonist realized that not only could she pretend to be someone else, she could use their powers as well. During the final fight, Toga drank the blood of her deceased ally Twice and was thus able to create infinite doubles that caused the heroes some major headaches as they overwhelmed the battlefield.

Toga Vs Uravity

While Ochaco has the ability to make objects and people lighter or heavier with a touch, the odds are seriously against her when it comes to fighting Toga. On top of creating infinite doubles that are swarming the battlefield, each doppelganger also has several Quirks of their own that the blood-drinking villain has taken during her career. The Quirk Singularity Theory has been a big part of the series so far, stating that each generation is becoming more powerful thanks to Quirks merging. Perhaps there has been no better representation of this than Toga as she might even give All For One and One For All a run for their money.

My Hero Academia’s Love Triangle

Toga’s twisted sensibilities have her wanting to kill both Deku and Uravity to demonstrate her love for them. Wanting a world where heroes won’t tell her what to do and stop her from spreading her unique brand of chaos, the villain is using her loss regarding Twice as a way to boost her power via her rage. With Uravity’s current powerset and her forgiving nature toward Toga, wanting to talk down the devastating antagonist, Ochaco will have her work cut out for her here.

While My Hero Academia’s anime has yet to confirm an eighth season, many manga readers are confident that Studio Bones will have at least one more season in the works to wrap the shonen series. Keeping this in mind, the fight between Toga and Uravity might stretch past season seven’s finale as Hero Society’s future hangs in the balance. 

The Other Fights of My Hero Academia’s Final Battle

On top of the conflict between Ochaco and Toga, there are still some major fights populating the anime adaptation. Deku and Shigaraki are still fighting one another as the “main event” and All Might has entered the battlefield, promising to take on the younger All For One despite the fact that Toshinori Yagi no longer has his super strength at his disposal. With countless villains still on the prowl, the fight is far from finished for UA Academy.

My Hero Academia is gearing up to bring the anime’s run to an end, and it needs to make sure to fix a big problem with Izuku Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki before it does. My Hero Academia’s original manga run ended its run earlier this Summer with Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Kohei Horikoshi’s manga series lasted for ten years, and with it brought the long fight against Tomura Shigaraki and All For One to an end. Now that the anime has started to work its way through this final war between the heroes and villains, it can fix a big issue between the main hero and villain. 

My Hero Academia will continue to showcase the final fight between Deku and Shigaraki as the anime continues following the end of Season 7, and it’s beginning to highlight the fact that the two of them really didn’t interact as much as they probably should have before it all ends as well. While the early stages of the series painted Deku and Shigaraki as a dark mirror of one another, this fell by the wayside as the series continued and expanded the scope of the final war to include more of All For One and his desires to take over the world. 

Where Did My Hero Academia Go Wrong With Deku and Shigaraki? 

My Hero Academia initially began with Shigaraki being a major antagonist to Deku as he was directly challenging him. There were a few occasions where the two interacted with one another to further paint Shigaraki as Deku’s ultimate foe, and it was initially seeming as the next phase of the ultimate fight between heroes and villains. All Might and All For One’s successors were going to carry the torches of their respective mentors, and Shigaraki’s destructive nature seemed to further indicate that he was essentially the other side of Deku’s coin. 

But as the series continued, this dynamic between the two became foggy and more complicated with additional villains and layers added on top of it all. All For One refused to concede his position, and was thrown back into the series as the main villain. It’s here that Deku started to develop the idea of wanting to save Shigaraki from what seemed to be his terrible fate as All For One had manipulated the young boy to becoming the destructive villain he was today. Deku saw a young Shigaraki struggling to come up from under that manipulation and thus wanted to reach out. 

But for as good of a person that Deku is, this was a decision that seemed to come fairly quickly for him. It changed the trajectory of the series as Deku now fights Shigaraki in full force, but still wants to save him from himself. Shigaraki, on the other hand, is only further trying to destroy not only Deku but his connection to All For One as well. There’s a loss of that interesting dynamic that made them such a compelling protagonist and antagonist in the first place. All because All For One refused to relent, Shigaraki was never able to reach his full potential as a well rounded character. 

How to Fix Deku and Shigaraki’s Main Problem

My Hero Academia‘s manga thankfully fixes this issue a bit as Deku is able to see more of Shigaraki’s origin, and without spoiling it for fans of the anime, it still feels kind of lacking for how much Deku wants to save him. It’s a little bit too late as since the series was already so close to the end, it almost seemed as if the manga was trying to make up for lost time. With such an expanded world, Deku and Shigaraki just didn’t know each other that well. Deku wants to save him simply because of his heroic nature wanting to reach out for someone in trouble, rather than it being the result of actually finding out something was deeper within him. 

Deku discovered this all after the fact, and thus it just feels a bit incomplete. Not even mentioning All For One’s role in it all as the new ultimate villain at the end of the day, and Deku and Shigaraki never really get the chance to settle their score with one another. Deku reaches out to Shigaraki, and we never get to see too much of how Shigaraki views Deku. It’s that loss of potential of the kind of stories we see early on, and unfortunately it’s thrown by the wayside the closer we get to the end. 

This could still all change for the anime, however. While it might be adapting Kohei Horikoshi’s manga, the beauty of retrospect means the anime team could potentially add new material to further flesh out the connections between Deku and Shigaraki before their final fight comes to an end.The anime might be ending its run for Season 7 in just a couple more weeks, but there’s still a clear pathway for My Hero Academia’s future as it readies for its eighth and potentially final season. There’s still some time. It will feel like it’ll be too little too late even with additional material, but it’ll be at least something that could alleviate this big issue before the anime ends too.

Studio Bones has become a giant in the anime business and not just due to My Hero Academia alone. The production house first cut its teeth by lending a hand to Cowboy Bebop and has since been responsible for major series including Fullmetal Alchemist, Bungo Stray Dogs, Metallic Rouge, and more. In a surprising new announcement, Bones is expanding on its silver screen work as the studio has announced that it is opening a new film division to help with its overall workload. As anime films bring in more profits at the box office, it makes sense that Bones would be looking to capitalize on the medium’s growing success.

The new film division has been named “Bones Film Co. Ltd” and is promising to help the studio as a whole in creating new projects for the big screen. This new division is hardly the first time that Bones has created films in its history, as My Hero Academia alone has warranted four feature-length films that have followed Deku and his fellow crime-fighting students in Class 1-A. Aside from the UA Academy movies, Bones also created films in the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise, a Bungo Stray Dogs movie, Eureka Seven films, and many other examples. 

The Decision For Bones’ New Division

While many mysteries surround the future of this new movie division for Studio Bones, a recent interview with the studio’s co-founder Toshihiro Kawamoto sheds some light on the decision to expand, “We could have difficulties if a title becomes so successful that it is imperative that a sequel be produced. Maybe then we have to open another studio or hire more staff.” With many franchises helping to populate Bones’ ever-expanding catalog, it makes sense that they would need to expand to handle the overall workload.

Bones’ Future

Of course, the biggest property for Bones in the present and the future is My Hero Academia. The anime adaptation is preparing to end its seventh season, playing catch-up to its source material. While an eighth season has yet to be confirmed, it would make sense that the television series would need at least one more season to bring the story of Class 1-A to a close. The fourth film of the superhero shonen series, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, has already made waves in Japan when it hit theaters earlier this year and is hoping to do the same when it arrives in North America on October 11th. A fifth film in the shonen franchise hasn’t been confirmed as of the writing of this article. 

One of the biggest upcoming anime adaptations that Bones is planning for 2025 is Gachiakuta. Debuting in 2022 as a part of Weekly Shonen Jump, the series has a similar art style to that of My Hero Academia from creator Kei Urana but holds a story that is far different from that of Deku’s. Rather than focusing on superheroes, the story features its main character Rudo attempting to survive his current situation in the “slums” of his world. Framed for a murder he didn’t commit, Rudo is exiled from his hometown and attempts to survive in an even more harsh environment but discovers some much-needed aid. Bones has yet to confirm a release date for this series but it has the makings to be one of the biggest new anime arrivals of next year.

My Hero Academia only has two episodes left in its seventh season but that doesn’t mean fans should think there aren’t some big battles yet to come. Thanks to Dabi being defeated by his family, as Shoto, Endeavor, and the other Todoroki clan members united to defeat Toya, the heroes are sitting pretty. Unfortunately, some of the biggest threats to Hero Society are still operational, with All For One remaining arguably the biggest. Standing in the demon lord’s way, All Might might be powerless but the season finale is sure to have a major surprise waiting in the wings. 

Warning. If you haven’t kept up with My Hero Academia’s manga, be forewarned that we’ll be diving into some slight spoiler territory for All Might’s future. As manga readers know, All Might is preparing to enter his “Iron Man” phase. Now that the embers of One For All have pretty much dissipated from Toshinori Yagi’s body, he has a secret suit of armor that is incorporated into his hard-hitting vehicle known as Hercules. While he doesn’t have much chance of defeating All For One regardless of suiting up, it’s only a matter of waiting out the villain’s current aging process as the villain keeps getting younger with each passing moment.

All For One’s Big Return

My Hero Academia’s third season saw All Might being forced into retirement as he had to use all his power to defeat All For One. Despite being imprisoned, the demon lord was eventually able to escape and seemed to have lost no strength despite his loss. The cards are stacked against Toshinori here but even if the anime sees him losing, his legacy as the former symbol of peace won’t soon be forgotten by heroes young and old.

My Hero Academia Season 8

As of the writing of this article, Studio Bones has not confirmed if there will be an eighth season, though it seems highly likely that My Hero Academia will produce one more season for its grand finale. With the manga having released its final chapter from creator Kohei Horikoshi, it would make sense to have an additional season following the latest season to bring the story of Class 1-A to an end. Manga readers know that the manga finale is one that puts a definitive bow on UA Academy, though there still could be an anime future for the franchise.

Hitting North American theaters this month, My Hero Academia: You’re Next is the fourth film of the franchise and also hasn’t been billed as its last. Should the series continue to make new movies, many fans have wondered if the series will focus on events taking place after the manga’s grand finale. Luckily there is also the possibility of a major My Hero Academia story given the chance to take the anime world by storm.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes might not have been made by creator Kohei Horikoshi but it fills in quite a few story beats about UA Academy’s universe. Focusing on new characters operating outside of the law such as Crawler, Pop Step, and Knuckle Duster, the spin-off also documents the earlier days of All Might, Eraserhead, Mirko, and many other heroes. This has been a manga that anime fans have been dying to see and would help fill the void left by the end of the main series.

Dragon Ball is gearing up for a rather busy month. If you did not realize, the franchise will soon return to television thanks to Dragon Ball Daima. Son Goku will lead the charge as he ushers in the anime’s next big series, and of course, fans are hyped about the drop. The premiere comes in time for Dragon Ball‘s 40th anniversary, and in order to celebrate the milestone, the franchise just dropped a big collaboration with My Hero Academia.

Oh yeah, you read that right. Dragon Ball has come together with My Hero Academia all thanks to Kohei Horikoshi. The artist is the latest person to join the Dragon Ball Super Gallery initiative, so you can peek his work below.

Dragon Ball Meets My Hero Academia

After joining the Dragon Ball Super Galley project, Horikoshi asked to ink a new cover for Dragon Ball volume 13. Akira Toriyama created the original cover back in . The volume, which features Kid Goku front and center, takes place during the hero’s younger years. Following Piccolo’s hunt for the dragon balls, Goku is forced to work with his friends to stop the demon king, but not even Roshi can stop the inevitable from happening.

Volume 13 of Dragon Ball is a definite classic, and Horikoshi wanted to try his own hand at the piece. He did not do anything drastic to the cover’s composition except to add his own style. Kid Goku looks great under Horikoshi’s hand, of course. When it comes to artistry, few creators hold up next to Horikoshi, and this latest Dragon Ball Super Gallery piece proves as much.

The Future of Dragon Ball

This special crossover is just the latest to join Dragon Ball for its 40th anniversary. Back in 2021, the Dragon Ball Super Gallery initiative kicked off with a crossover from Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto. Since then, a number of top-tier creators have taken part in the celebration. From Bleach to Chainsaw Man and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, a number of creators have given Goku a go, and there are still more tributes to come.

While Dragon Ball focuses on its 40th anniversary, the anime is buckling down in the short term. Dragon Ball Daima is just days out from its release, after all. The much-anticipated anime is set to hit Crunchyroll on October 11, and it will mark Goku’s return to television after Dragon Ball Super. It has been more than six years since the TV anime gave us anything new to watch, so expectations for this series are high. So if you want to show Dragon Ball some love, be sure to check out its new anime next Friday!

And as for Horikoshi? Well, the man is enjoying a well-deserved vacation. The artist brought My Hero Academia to an end earlier this summer after a decade-long run. At this time, no word has been given on what Horikoshi will publish next, but fans are eager to see where the future takes the My Hero Academia creator. And if they really miss Deku, the My Hero Academia anime is still alive and well with more arcs to adapt.

My Hero Academia is now one crucial step closer to its Season 7 finale, and the anime is sharing the first look at Himiko Toga’s last stand against Ochaco Uraraka with an early preview for the penultimate episode. My Hero Academia Season 7 got off to a late start earlier this Summer, so that means that while the Fall 2024 anime schedule is already kicking in and we’re getting a ton of new shows, My Hero Academia still has a couple of episodes to go before Season 7 comes to an end. Episodes that will feature the end of some key battles. 

My Hero Academia Season 7 has two more episodes before it comes to an end, and these final episodes will be revealing some more crucial fights that need to go down before heading into the eighth (and potentially final) season of the anime. Ochaco has been struggling against Toga ever since the war began, and it’s only gotten tougher as Toga has been using Twice’s power to create an army of Twice doubles. But there’s a hidden sadness within all this power, and it’s a sadness that Ochaco is still hoping to get to the bottom of as their fight reaches its end. 

My Hero Academia: What’s Next for Toga vs. Ochaco?

When we had last seen Toga in action, she had hid herself within the Twice doubles she used with her late friend’s copied power. But there was a bit of a heartbreaking twinge to it, however, as while this is clearly helping the villains, it’s made Toga come to a terrible realization. Because while she’s able to use Twice and Ochaco’s powers thanks to how much love she has for the two of them, it’s a love that’s not shared with the rest of the League of Villains’ members. Because she can’t copy Shigaraki or Dabi’s abilities, she’s figured out that she doesn’t love them in the same way as she did Twice. 

This has rocked Toga as her love has been what has fueled her in the series to this point. The final war against the heroes has been one twist of the knife into her after another as after confessing to Izuku Midoriya, she was rejected and once again felt ostracized by how different she was from the rest of the modern hero society. It’s something Ochaco has been clued into as someone who has also been fighting with love, and it’s something Ochaco hopes to settle in her final fight against Toga before the war (and the season) comes to an end. 

How to Watch My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 20

The penultimate episode of My Hero Academia Season 7 is titled “A Girl’s Ego,” and will be airing on Saturday, October 5th in Japan. The episode will be exclusively streaming with Crunchyroll when it premieres, and the promo for the episode teases this final clash between Toga and Ochaco with, “The menace of Sad Man’s Death Parade is sweeping over the Gunga Village site. In the midst of that, Uraraka finds Toga’s real body and tries to find out her true intentions. Inside the girl is sadness…desire…and warped feelings…”

As teased by the preview, this is going to be the final clash between Toga and Ochaco. With the latest episode settling the fight against Dabi once and for all, Toga is one of the last key villains that needs to be defeated before My Hero Academia can more forward to Season 7’s finale, and the grand finale for the anime overall in the future.

My Hero Academia is in the final stages of season seven, and there is no denying how peak it has been this year. When the anime returned this spring, all eyes were on Deku as our hero began prepping for war. Now, the final battle against All For One is well underway, and all of its battles have been intense to say the least. Shigaraki has put up a good fight, but no frontline has burned hotter than Dabi’s quest. And this week, My Hero Academia stood out with Endeavor as it proved the hero is one of anime’s greatest dads.

And by great, well – we do not mean nice. Endeavor has earned his place as one of anime’s most complex fathers, and he will go down in history for better or for worse.

The Complex Nature of Endeavor’s Legacy

My Hero Academia made a call with Endeavor this week as season seven brought “I Am Here” to life. It was there fans watched as Dabi made a comeback in the war after being defeated initially by Shoto. Dabi’s flames burnt brighter than ever before when he returned to battle, and even Shoto’s ultimate move was useless against the heat. For a while, it seemed the boy was destined to fail against Dabi, but everything changed when the Todoroki family came to his aid.

At his side, Shoto was joined by his mother and siblings as they used their icy powers to cool down Dabi. Shoto was then able to take out Dabi for real, and the battle’s final moments saw the villain reunite with Endeavor. The pro hero got on all fours to crawl to his eldest child, and it was there Endeavor stuck a chord with fans. Not only did he sincerely apologize to his family, but Endeavor did not talk back when his apologies were tossed away.

Dabi crossed that line first as he shed a tear before Endeavor, telling the pro hero how much he hated the man. Dabi went on to curse his whole family, and Endeavor encouraged his son to go on. He wants to hear everything Dabi has on his mind to make amends for those years he ignored Toya at home. Endeavor goes on to apologize to Rei for his past actions before telling his children he’s sorry. Swallowed by grief, Endeavor lets himself feel the pain he caused his family for decades in this scene, but he doesn’t expect let alone demand forgiveness.

Has Endeavor Earned Forgiveness?

At the start of Endeavor’s redemption arc, the hero had hopes of forgiveness, but that belief has changed. The pro hero made progress when Fuyumi to a degree, but after the Sports Festival, Shoto took an important step for his family. He realized that indifference was the best way to approach Endeavor, and the rest of the family followed suit. Natsuo’s rage has simmered into such indifference, and this path hit home for Endeavor after Dabi revealed his true identity.

Faced with the sins of his past, Dabi was the ultimate reminder of Endeavor’s past, and the pro hero realized he was going about atonement the wrong way. He could not be forgiven for his sins, but Endeavor could still offer reparations. There would be no salvation for the hero, but by acknowledging his wrongs, Endeavor took a step towardsexpiation. My Hero Academia season seven shows that truth clearly as Endeavor doesn’t demand anything from Dabi in the war’s wake; He just wants to listen to Dabi and bear the brunt of his rage.

When it comes to family, emotions run deep whether they are good or bad. The love there feels best, but its trauma stings the most. Endeavor made his home a nightmare for his family, and My Hero Academia has forced the hero to own up to that sin. The change he’s undergone since the Sports Festival is immense, and Endeavor is still striving to make amends without any expectations of forgiveness. That kind of selfless move is what makes Endeavor such a complex character. And as far as anime concerned, the pro hero will go down as one of the greats.

My Hero Academia Season 7 is now a couple of episodes away from its grand finale, and the creator behind it all is bringing it one step closer with a cool new sketch for the anime’s latest episode. My Hero Academia Season 7 is now in the climax of the final fights between the heroes and villains, and each of the episodes seen thus far has seen the power dynamic between the two sides fluctuate dramatically. Each side has taken some big hits, and thus has been struggling even more as the villains refuse to stay down ever after being beaten before. 

This was especially the case for Dabi as while he had initially been beaten by his brother Shoto Todoroki at the start of these final battles earlier in Season 7, the villain then fueled his body to a point he couldn’t come back from. With the intent of exploding himself along with his father and everything around them, Dabi was burning hotter than ever before. But Shoto rushed in for a major save as he and Tenya Iida rushed over from an entire town away to make it just in time, It’s this duo that My Hero Academia series creator Kohei Horikoshi decides to highlight with a special new sketch on social media. What Happens in My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 19?

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 19 brings the season closer to its finale as some of the final fights between the heroes and villains are taking shape. Not only is All Might preparing for a face off against the now much younger, and much stronger version of All For One, but Ochaco Uraraka is ready to take on Himiko Toga and the army of Twice doubles. But even with all of this happening, Endeavor and Dabi are still struggling against one another. Dabi’s flames are burning so hot that his body and mind are fading away, and it’s even damaging Endeavor’s body. 

Endeavor’s been so hurt through this fight thus far that he can’t get himself into the sky to get Dabi away from the rest of the people around them, and soon enough the rest of the Todoroki family arrives to somehow help Dabi before he explodes. When it looks like all of them won’t be enough to stop Dabi before it’s too late, Iida and Shoto rush across town at a super high speed so that Shoto is able to deal a final ultimate move and snuff out Dabi’s flame before it explodes at the atomic level. It’s Shoto’s biggest move in the anime to date, and showcases just how much he’s grown through the series as a whole. 

When Will My Hero Academia Season 7 End? 

Although My Hero Academia is one of the anime that is supposed to end ahead of the Fall 2024 anime schedule, it’s late start means we will still get to see it for another two weeks. There was initially 21 episodes announced for Season 7 that kicked off their run in late July, and following a few weeks of recap episodes, we are now waiting on the final two episodes of the season before the My Hero Academia anime ends its run. It’s looking like we’ll get to see two major fights go down before the season ends as well, and before it all gets ready for the grand finale. 

We’ll be seeing Ochaco’s fight against Toga, and All Might’s fight against All For One, and that will leave My Hero Academia on a pretty massive cliffhanger before it returns for Season 8. This will likely also serve as the final season of the TV series given how little of the manga there’s still left to adapt, but there will still be some big fights to enjoy before it all comes to an end in the future.

My Hero Academia has spent the past year with season seven, and the show has not let up since its return. If you did not realize, Deku and his friends made their comeback back in the spring with help from Studio Bones. With war on the horizon, the studio puts its top creators together to make season seven one of the anime’s best. It did not take long for that goal to be realized, and this week season seven made a stand with My Hero Academia‘s best episode to date.

As you can see in the slides below, My Hero Academia did not skimp when it came to “I Am Here”. The episode, which is now streaming on Hulu and Crunchyroll, wraps one major battle while kickstarting a second. We get a close look at the Todoroki family as its drama comes to a finish, and Studio Bones went off with its animation.

My Hero Academia Hits New Peak With Season 7

Honestly, you just have to look at the slides below to see what the fuss is about. My Hero Academia brought in some of the best animators in the business to bring Shoto Todoroki vs Dabi to life, and the whole Todoroki clan came along. Animators like Yutaka Nakamura were asked to do key animation for “I Am Here”, and the visuals are just insane.

From the episode’s impact frames to its pacing and visual allegories, My Hero Academia season seven outdid itself this week. We have never seen Iida or Shoto look better than they do here, and the same goes for their allies. Dabi’s final stand against Endeavor is nothing short of poetic as the pro hero accepts his son’s offer to dance. And as the episode ends, My Hero Academia tees up its biggest season seven battle with All For One vs All Might. The two giants are ready to trade blows, and this fight will mark their first since Kamino Ward years ago.

Which Episodes of My Hero Academia Are the Best?

With “I Am Here” now streaming, the My Hero Academia fandom is calling the episode one of the anime’s best. It is peak whether we are talking voice acting, animation, or scripting. Of course, My Hero Academia season seven has had a number of big episodes. “Light Fades to Rain” is one of the anime’s most-talked about episodes of all time, and it went live a few weeks ago with Bakugo’s help.

My Hero Academia Season 7 is steadily reaching its end, and the newest episode has brought Shoto Todoroki and the rest of his family full circle with Shoto’s big save. My Hero Academia has had a few core threads throughout Kohei Horikoshi’s original series, and one of them focused on the Todoroki Family. As a result of All Might dominating the hero charts in Japan, Endeavor was driven to a place where he felt that he had to abuse the rest of his family in the hope of surpassing him someday. It’s led to many episodes in the TV anime to explore their shared trauma as a family as a result of it all. 

In the final war between the heroes and villains, Shoto first fought against Dabi as the two Todoroki brothers opened up to one another about everything their father had done to them. While it had seemed like Shoto was the ultimate victor of the situation, it was only a matter of time before Dabi started fueling himself back up for one final explosion. With that explosion finally at hand in the newest episode of the series, Shoto came in from literal miles away to help the rest of his family stop Dabi from destroying everything. 

My Hero Academia: The Todoroki Family Reunites

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 19 sees Dabi attacking Endeavor as his core is reaching new internal temperatures. Endeavor’s efforts to stop his son continue to fail as Dabi’s mind are so fractured from pain and rage that his body is only getting hotter. Endeavor then realizes that the only way to keep Dabi from exploding and setting off an atomic level reaction, he just might have to take himself out. But his body is weakened too, and can’t quite get Dabi into the sky. Soon enough, Rei Todoroki arrives and tries to cool down Dabi’s flames as well. 

Natsuo and Fuyumi arrive as well, and the family is trying to collectively stop Dabi despite the fact that Endeavor’s trying to tell the rest of them to get away. He dreams of a future where they are happy without him, but soon enough it’s clear none of them are planning on leaving and will face their fate together. But soon enough, Shoto comes in from half the town away for an epic delivery of his Great Glacial Aegir for a huge save. 

How Shoto Saves His Family

Previously in the episode, All Might hears Tsukauchi panicking over the Dabi developments and quickly comes up with an idea. Giving Shoto and Tenya Iida a pep talk, he knows the two of them can somehow cross the miles separating them to reach Dabi before the villain explodes. The two decide to go for it, and Iida pushes himself to run faster than he has ever gone before. He reaches a fighter jet level speed, and Shoto makes them faster by molding his ice into a fighter jet and using his heat to help with the air around them. 

Thanks to Iida crossing over the city to get to Dabi’s side, Shoto is able to build up his Flashfire fist in the meantime and rushes over to where Dabi and the other members of his family are. With all of them fueling the air around him, Shoto goes in for a final Great Glacial Aegir, and he is able to completely snuff out the explosive flame. Dabi is cooled down as well as his rage soon gives way to tears, and the Todoroki Family can now go on the road to recovery from here. 

It’s this moment that not only brings the Todoroki Family together again after everything that’s happened to them, but also makes Shoto a full hero who is able to do something even his dad couldn’t do. It’s something only he could have done with his own power.

My Hero Academia’s seventh season might be primarily focused on Deku fighting against Shigaraki but this battle is far from the only confrontation that is taking place in the anime adaptation for Hero Society’s future. All For One has been fighting Hawks, Toga has been fighting Uravity and Froppy, and countless other fires are erupting as a result of this final confrontation. One of the biggest battles of the seventh season, however, has come to a close as the twisted Todoroki family reunion wraps. In the latest anime episode, Dabi and his quest to eliminate his clan has reached its conclusion.

Warning. If you have yet to watch My Hero Academia’s latest episode, “I Am Here”, be forewarned that we’ll be diving into serious spoiler territory. While Shoto Todoroki had previously managed to halt Dabi’s assault on Hero Society, even Shoto’s ultimate attack wasn’t enough to keep Toya down. Arriving in front of Endeavor thanks to Kurogiri’s awakening, Enji Todoroki has been attempting to stop his miscreant son from eliminating everything around him in his bid for revenge. As Hero Society’s police force notes, Dabi has been building the heat inside himself to unleash at the right moment, taking about five kilometers, aka three miles, with him.

The Todoroki Reunion Ends

With Endeavor losing one of his hands in the fight against All For One, the current number one hero isn’t looking too good in terms of defeating his powerful son. As Enji discovers, Toya secretly did inherit the powers of his mother Rei, as he uses his unrevealed ice powers to help in pushing him forward. As the ice keeps Dabi alive long enough to get revenge, the popular villain’s mind is completely gone as he has given himself entirely to revenge. 

Reeling from both fighting his son as well as the sins of his past, Endeavor decides to make the ultimate sacrifice to stop Dabi’s suicidal trajectory. Hoping to take his son into the sky to mitigate the damage, Enji receives some last-minute aid from Rei, Natsu, and Fayumi. Even with all these members of the Todoroki clan working in unison to defeat Dabi, it came down to Shoto once again in making sure that his evil brother’s reign of terror would end.

Thanks to iida’s Quirk, Shoto is brought to the battlefield once again at supersonic speeds. Unleashing his ultimate attack, Great Glacial Aegir, the youngest member of the Todoroki family does what many thought would be impossible, he defeats Dabi once and for all. Shockingly, the villainous Toya still wants nothing more than to see his family die despite being trapped in ice, but Endeavor attempts to quell the anger in Dabi’s heart while also apologizing to all of his family for the hellish years he inflicted upon them. 

While this battle might have wrapped, the heroes’ struggle for their future is continuing in My Hero Academia’s seventh season. All For One has his sites squarely set on All Might, as the former Symbol of Peace is set to unleash his trump card in keeping the demon lord from reaching Shigaraki. Of course, one of the biggest threats from the villains is in Toga, as the blood-drinking villain has absorbed Twice’s Quirk and is creating infinite doubles to overwhelm the heroes. Since the likes of Deku and Bakugo have their hands full, it’s now up to Ochaco to take down the villain that is lashing out at the world.

My Hero Academia’s seventh season only has two more episodes before anime fans will once again bid a fond farewell to Deku and the UA Academy heroes. As the final battle brings one of its major battles to an end thanks to the twisted Todoroki family reunion, there are still plenty of threats to Hero Society that remain. One of the biggest is easily Toga, as the blood drinking villain is putting Twice’s Quirk to good use as “Sad Man’s Parade” continues to overwhelm the crime fighters. To build hype for the next episode, Toga is given a similar for as Marvel’s Venom as Uravity prepares for the fight of her life.

The latest episode of My Hero Academia, “I Am Here”, featured what appears to be the end of the fight between the Todoroki family and their “black sheep” Dabi, aka Toya Todoroki. Presenting anime viewers with some of the hardest-hitting emotional beats of the anime adaptation to date, the series isn’t pulling any punches in exploring this final battle. While there might only be two episodes remaining for season seven, anime fans shouldn’t fear as it seems like an inevitability that an eighth season will arrive in the future. Season eight however is most likely going to be the anime’s grand finale if it continues to stick to the source material.

We Are Toga

While this new poster doesn’t officially give Toga a symbiote, the antagonist looks like she would fit right in with Eddie Brock and the various other Venoms that Marvel has introduced. This particular scene is mid-transformation for Toga, as she swaps her appearance from Twice to her more traditional look. Thanks to Ochaco being her main opponent, Uravity is going to have to think of a way to take down this League of Villains member as Toga’s Quirk has never been more powerful than it is now.

Toga’s Evolution

Toga has always been a fan-favorite villain in My Hero Academia thanks to her unsettling personality and her powerset. My Hero Academia, however, has upped the game for the young murderer as her Quirk’s power has been doing nothing but evolving since she brought down the wall in her own psyche. During the fight against the Meta Liberation Army in season five, Toga realized that once she drank the blood of a target, she didn’t just have the ability to take on their appearance but their superpowers.

In downing the blood of Jin Bubaigawara, aka Twice, not only has Toga managed to create infinite doubles of herself but said doppelgangers have the powers that the young villain can access. For some time in My Hero Academia’s anime, there has been a theory that Quirks’ evolutions will end the world as we know it. Dubbed the “Quirk Singularity Theory”, shonen fans have seen this demonstrated in both All For One and One For All but Toga might be the one to make this theory a true reality.

Where Will Season Seven End?

With two episodes remaining, many manga fans are speculating where season seven will end in relation to the printed story. Without diving too deeply into spoiler territory for anime-only readers, expect some big battles to bring this current season to a close. Studio Bones, as mentioned previously, hasn’t confirmed a season eight as of the writing of this article but it wouldn’t come as a surprise if the production house does so right around the release of season seven’s season finale.

It’s a sad day when major talent in the entertainment world pass on but Sayuri’s passing at the age of 28 is truly a tragic loss for the anime industry. Despite her young age, the talented musician was able to create legendary ballots for some of the biggest franchises in the medium. My Hero Academia, Lycoris Recoil, Erased, and more received amazing themes from the musician and the anime world is in mourning as a result of this major loss in the industry. Sayuri’s music and her overall talent is something that will not soon be forgotten by her fans. 

For those who might not be familiar with Sayuri, she was born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1996. Starting her musical career in middle school, the talented musician would join bands such as Muu and LONGTAL before finding success with a major victory at the 5th Music Revolution event, winning the “Grand Prix” of the performance’s finals. Her first foray into the anime world arrived thanks to the series Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace where her song, “Mikazuki”, was featured in the adaptation. It proved what a talent she was that her first single would find its way into an anime. From here, she truly struck it big when she created the ending theme to Erased, an emotional anime that still has a passionate fanbase to this day. 

An official statement was released via Sayuri’s Official Social media account, sharing the tragic news that the young talent had passed away, “We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the kindness shown to Sayuri during her lifetime, and together with everyone, we would like to pray for her soul to rest in peace. We ask that members of the media please be considerate of the deep grief of her family and relatives and refrain from interviewing those involved.”  The funeral itself was held for close friends and family, following Sayuri’s passing on September 20th. 

Sayuri’s Partner Responds

In conjunction with the statement of Sayuri’s passing, Amaarashi, a vocalist and composer who has also worked in the anime world, shared the following touching message, “As she battled a chronic illness, she was passionate about music until the very end… And if I may say something a little out of character, I was incredibly happy to be your husband, even though you proposed to me so suddenly, and just a year later, I found myself as the chief mourner. Only Sayuri and I could have lived such a life. Thank you for choosing me and believing in me. I will always be by your side. I love you.”

Fans have been offering their condolences to Sayuri’s family, sharing touching moments from her musical career along with ways that the musician has affected the lives of those who experienced her work. One social media user shared the musician passionately playing the guitar, proving just how talented she was in the musical world, anime-related or otherwise.

Earlier this year, on July 25th, Sayuri had announced that she was taking a break from the music world due to a “functional dysphonia”, a condition that can often have ill effects on the afflicted’s voice. In this announcement, she had not stated that she was suffering from any other illnesses and noted that she was working with both a therapist and vocal coach in an effort to combat the dysphonia. Feeling frustrated in being unable to sing and regain her connection to the world, Sayuri’s legacy is one that will not only last within the anime world but the musical world as a whole for years to come.

My Hero Academia knows what it takes to make heroes great. Since its first chapter, the superhero manga excelled with its pros, and many of heroes have become legends to fans. Now, it seems some of the anime’s biggest heroes are ready to make their Overwatch debut. After all, Blizzard just confirmed My Hero Academia is coming to Overwatch 2, and the collaboration will be a huge event for gamers across the globe.

“From October 17-30, step into the roles of your favorite anime heroes or villains with exclusive legendary skins that bring the action of My Hero Academia to life in the Overwatch universe. Each skin is designed to capture the essence of these beloved characters, giving you the chance to dominate the battlefield with their unique style and flair,” Blizzard announced today in a new statement.

Overwatch Meets My Hero Academia

As for how this collaboration will look, Overwatch 2 has locked in five characters from My Hero Academia, and they are not all heroes. A few villains were brought into the mix, you can read the picks below:

• Tracer as the determined Deku
  
• Juno as the joyful Uravity
  
• Reinhardt as the symbol of peace, All Might 
  
• Kiriko as the cunning Himiko Toga

As Blizzard confirmed, this My Hero Academia x Overwatch 2 event will begin on October 17. This drop comes just in time for stateside fans to celebrate the anime’s latest movie. My Hero Academia: You’re Next will hit theaters in America on October 11. Toho International will bring the movie’s sub and dub to theaters. So after you check out the anime’s fourth film, Overwatch 2 will let you play out your pro hero fantasies in game.

Clearly, Overwatch has struck a big anime deal with My Hero Academia‘s help, and this is not the first to go live. The team at Blizzard has brought One-Punch Man and Cowboy Bebop to Overwatch 2 as well. The skin collaborations have been very successful, so you can bet more are in the works. So really, it is just a matter of time before Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba gives Genji a cosplay.

And beyond Overwatch, plenty of video games have started to embrace anime crossovers. Fortnite is perhaps the most famous example of this. From Dragon Ball to Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen, Fortnite has brought tons of anime skins to life. Even My Hero Academia has partnered with Fortnite before. All Might has made his love for video games very clear. So really, can you blame fans for asking All Might to join the next round of Mortal Kombat DLC?

My Hero Academia season seven has been blazing a . If you did not realize, the show made its return earlier this spring, and it started hot with a traitor’s reveal. These days, all eyes are on the battlefield as the heroes have begun their war against All For One. Now, a new promo for My Hero Academia has gone live, and it is teases a long-awaited comeback by All Might.

As you can see below, My Hero Academia posted its first promo for this week’s new episode, and it has a lot to unpack. Not only does the clip bring Dabi back to the fight as he restarts his fight with Shoto Todoroki, but Deku is facing down Shigaraki. By the end of the clip, All Might is seen with a crazed smile and for good reason. The Symbol of Peace is seen staring down All For One as the villain makes his way towards UA High School, so an inevitable collision is coming.

All Might Is Ready to Make a Final Stand

As you can imagine, all eyes are on All Might as fans have waited some years for the hero to stage his return. It has been quite a long time since All Might was seen in battle. The hero officially retired following his showdown with All For One during the Kamino Ward arc, but All Might has not been sitting around idly. Despite a bout of depression during Deku’s vigilante stint, All Might has been planning his return to battle, and My Hero Academia season seven is about to drive that home.

Now if you are familiar with My Hero Academia‘s manga, you know how this showdown is going to go. All Might may have lost his quirk, but he has plenty of battle experience. With that history and All Might’s strategies in mind, he teamed with I-Island to craft a battle suit. The high-tech hardware is clearly inspired by Iron Man as All Might dons it to fight All For One. The suit is able to replicate the hero’s former quirk to a high degree, and even All For One is stunned by its ability. The hero’s comeback marked a high point during the manga’s final arc, so My Hero Academia season seven has high expectations to meet.

What Is Next for My Hero Academia?

Thanks to this My Hero Academia promo, anime fans are eager to see All Might mark his return as it is a long time coming. The roadmap for the arc has been laid out by the manga, and now, Studio Bones is pacing out Kohei Horikoshi’s vision. Earlier this year, the series creator confirmed My Hero Academia would end in the summer, and Horikoshi hit that goal with a solid epilogue. At this point, no word has been given on when My Hero Academia will wrap its anime. However, given the show’s pacing, many fans expect My Hero Academia will close with season eight.

Beyond the TV series, My Hero Academia is also juggling a new movie. The feature premiered in Japan over a month ago, and Toho International will bring My Hero Academia: You’re Next to U.S. theaters in early October. The film will be screened both subbed and dubbed, so fans better nab their tickets ASAP as they are on sale now.

My Hero Academia is about to heat things up with season seven. As October nears, the finale for season seven is on the horizon. My Hero Academia is in the midst of war, and as you can imagine, the anime has big plans for it season finale. We have watched All For One absolutely beat down our heroes this season, and it is about to get worse. The villain just took on a new form, and My Hero Academia has brought in Levi Ackerman to handle the makeover.

Or wait, we mean Hiroshi Kamiya. My Hero Academia just brought in the Attack on Titan star to voice All For One’s young adult form, and you know the industry veteran is going to go hard.

Who Is Hiroshi Kamiya?

If you are not familiar with Kamiya, you should know the 49-year-old actor is a true legend in the industry. The voice actor began working in 1992, and they are known best for voicing leads like Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan. The actor has also voiced a number of other top-tier characters, so you can sample his filmography below:

Now, Kamiya has joined the impressive cast of My Hero Academia, and he has nabbed an impressive roll. All For One is a major figure in the series, and he now oversees the character’s young adult version. Thanks to a bait-and-switch, All For One is now rewinding himself through time in a final bid to take One For All. The move will ultimately wipe All For One from existence as the man ages backwards. His young adult self is incredibly strong, and Kamiya brings a sinister feel to the character. And as My Hero Academia moves forward, more actors will tackle All For One as he ages into a teen, a child, a toddler, and eventually nothingness.

My Hero Academia May End With Season 8

My Hero Academia season seven has been an incredibly strong piece of the anime, and there is more to come. Earlier this year, series creator Kohei Horikoshi solidified the trajectory of the hit manga. The story ended with a powerful epilogue that took Deku years into the future. With the story’s end in sight, the My Hero Academia anime can plot out its future, and there is enough content left to make an eighth season.

Studio Bones, the home of My Hero Academia, has not said anything about the anime’s future. The team is still focusing on season seven, but an update is expected once My Hero Academia hits its next finale. With the manga done, a countdown has started for the anime. My Hero Academia is heading towards its final stop, and the show’s close will mark the end of an era for the shonen genre.

My Hero Academia’s seventh season has focused almost entirely on the final fight of the shonen franchise, giving not just Deku the spotlight, but the majority of Midoriya’s Class 1-A classmates. In the latest episode, Izuku is still fighting Shigaraki while Pinky and Red Riot are taking on an entirely different threat. Gigantomachia is a villain who is waiting in the wings, bound by Hero Society but looking to be freed by All For One’s followers. In a brief moment, anime viewers get a closer look at the potential romance of Pinky and Red Riot and fans are going wild for the highly anticipated moment.

The latest season seven episode, titled “It’s A Small World”, sees Mina Ashido once again teaming up with Eijiro Kirishima. Rather than fighting against the likes of Shigaraki and All For One, the first villain of the series, “The Sludge Villain”, makes an appearance. Thanks to Pinky using her ultimate technique, “Acid Man”, she gains a major victory against the antagonist and scores a bigger victory with Red Riot. The two have been linked for quite some time and it seems that their fates will be tied regardless of who wins this final battle.

Red Riot x Pinky: An Anime Romance For The Ages

While we don’t see the two young heroes make it official in this latest episode, we are able to see how much Mina means to Red Riot and vice versa. Thanks to Eijiro saving Pinky from a previous assault by Gigantomachia, she felt the need to pay him back and did so in “It’s A Small World”. In a tear-jerking moment, Eijiro states that Mina will always be his hero and she didn’t need to go to such lengths to prove herself to him.

Luckily, Pinky and Red Riot’s actions didn’t just save one another, they scored a major victory for their allies on the battlefield. Mina’s Quirks helped Shinso employ his brainwashing power on Gigantomachia, making the hulking villain join the heroes’ side of the equation, albeit against his will. With Tokoyami, Mt Lady, and Gigantomachia beating down All For One, the heroes were sitting pretty for a brief moment though all good things must come to an end. 

My Hero Academia’s Actual Romance

While it’s doubtful we see Pinky and Red Riot express their full-fledged love for one another during the final battle, another romance has blossomed on the battlefield. Thanks to Gentle Criminal and La Brava returning, this time on the side of the angels, the former has never been stronger thanks to the latter’s Quirk. Since the villainous pair first arrive on the scene, La Brava’s love for Gentle has never swayed but has only increased in recent storylines. 

Another major romance that fans have been waiting to see is one between Deku and Ochaco. One big obstacle that the heroes have in expressing their feelings for one another is Toga, the blood-drinking villainess who has a thing for Midoriya. Now that the League of Villains member has acquired Twice’s Quirk, the battlefield has once again swayed in favor of All For One. Now, the question isn’t so much whether Izuku and Uravity will share their true feelings but whether they will survive to do so.

My Hero Academia is still working through season seven, and its latest episodes have been nothing short of intense. The final war with All For One has begun, after all. From Dabi to Toga and Shigaraki, all of the anime’s villains are making their final stand against our heroes. It seems every week the anime finds a new way to set the deck with its fights. But this week, My Hero Academia piqued curiosity with a cameo rather than a knockout.

Yes, that is right. A cameo in My Hero Academia season seven has the fandom geeking out this week. The blink-and-miss-it moment came courtesy of Giulio and Anna. The two characters made their debut in My Hero Academia: You’re Next, and now they are shaking up the canon with their entry into the mainline series.

Who Are Giulio and Anna?

Now if you are not familiar with Giulio and Anna, well – you have not seen the fourth My Hero Academia movie. The two characters are central in the film, after all. Giulio made his series debut as a mysterious butler who had Anna on his hit list. As for the girl, the blonde found herself ensnared with Dark Might as the villain coveted her quirk. As My Hero Academia: You’re Next went on, audiences learned how Anna and Giulio were tied to one another. And by the end of the film, Deku helped reunite the estranged couple despite the odds.

Now, Giulio and Anna have hopped out off the big screen to tackle My Hero Academia season seven. The two are shown in the TV series watching frontline footage of the war with other evacuated citizens. For one, Giulio is dressed down in jeans and a loose top while Anna rocks a white dress. The pair are hard to miss in the shot, so My Hero Academia wasn’t being very subtle with the cameo.

The easter egg was obviously appreciated by fans, and it only reinforces a truth about the My Hero Academia films. If you did not realize, anime films have a history of being outside the canon when it comes to shonen titles. From Naruto to Dragon Ball, we have seen this issue come up time and again; However, many shonen series are now tying their feature films to their canon. My Hero Academia has done this since its first film as characters like Melissa have been mentioned (or even appeared) in the main series. Now, Giulio and Anna are continuing that tradition.

What’s Next for My Hero Academia

If you have not had the chance to check out My Hero Academia: You’re Next, you will get a chance to soon. The movie made its premiere in Japan over a month ago, and Toho International will bring the feature stateside on October 11. The movie marks the fourth My Hero Academia has pushed to date, and currently, no word has been given on whether a fifth is in the works.

Beyond the anime, My Hero Academia is taking a breather for the most part. Kohei Horikoshi, the series creator, brought the manga to a close this year after a 10-year run. You can find the entire manga through Viz Media’s Shonen Jump app. And of course, My Hero Academia seasons one through seven are now streaming on Hulu and Crunchyroll.

My Hero Academia is now in its final few episodes for the Summer, and Season 7 is getting ready for All Might’s final fight against All For One with the first look at his biggest moment of the season. My Hero Academia is now working through the final fights between the key heroes and villains left in the series alive, and with these fights have been fluctuating between major wins and losses for both sides. While it seems like either side are gaining the advantage in any given episode, it’s clearly all in a constant state of chaos as the war gets more intense. 

My Hero Academia is now in the final stretch of episodes for Season 7 this Summer as the Fall 2024 anime schedule fast approaches, and that means that some of the biggest fights are still to come before it’s all capped off. As All For One grows much stronger the longer the fight has gone on, he’s now going to make his way towards Tomura Shigaraki to try and end the war once and for all. But as the heroes struggle to hold him back, it’s going to be up to All Might to step into action for his final battle against his greatest villain. 

What Happens in My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 18? 

Hawks and the other heroes are trying their best against All For One, but the villain is only getting stronger thanks to the now active Rewind quirk. Through all of this Hawks unfortunately discovers that All For One’s quirks are being treated as internal rather than external, so he’s in no danger of losing all of these extra abilities despite the fact that the villain’s body is being rewinded to his prime self. The only drawback to this ability seems to be that his body is getting younger the more damage he takes. 

At the same time, this younger form is also starting to impact All For One mentally. He’s starting to act more aggressively than he would have before, and while he blames the Tomura Shigaraki side of himself, it’s clear that his physical changes are becoming internal as well. With this newfound body and strength comes a new confidence that he can single handedly end these fights by forcing his way to Tomura Shigaraki and combining once and for all. But that’s before All Might steps in. 

How to Watch My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 19

As teased with the first look at My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 19, All For One is trying to make his way to Shigaraki to fully fuse their bodies and power after taking out all of the other heroes that had tried to slow him down. With very few options left to keep the two separated (as Deku is still in the middle of his struggle against Shigaraki), All Might is making his debut on the final battlefield as revealed by the first look at the coming episode. Titled “I Am Here,” this is teeing up All Might’s biggest moment in this final arc as he will get into his final fight against All For One. 

Donning a suit of armor that has been sneakily teased every week in the official opening theme sequence for the season, All Might is going to try every trick he has available to make sure that All For One never joins up with Shigaraki. It’s one of the big final fights of the series, and it seems like we’ll finally get to see it animated after all this waiting. My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 19 premieres on Saturday, September 28th and fans will be able to stream the episode with Crunchyroll and Hulu.

My Hero Academia Season 7 is now in its final few episodes for the Summer, and with the newest episode of the anime has made a major change to All For One. My Hero Academia is working its way through the final fights between the heroes and villains, but each episode has turned the fight in either direction. At any given moment it seems like both the heroes and villains are on the winning side with new tricks or plans, but it’s now starting to seem like All For One continues to be ahead of everyone else as he keeps getting stronger. 

This has only gotten truer with the latest episode of My Hero Academia as All For One’s stolen Rewind continues to make his body younger. As All For One takes more damage, his body is getting further back into the prime of his life. It’s made access to all of his quirks easier than before, but it’s also seemingly a one way trip. That’s the case for the latest episode too as All For One has been replaced by a new voice actor bringing this younger version of All For One to life, Hiroshi Kamiya. 

My Hero Academia: Who Is All For One’s New Voice Actor?

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 18 continues the heroes’ struggle against All For One, and the villain continues to brush off all of the efforts with relative ease. Despite the Shiketsu High School students making it to the battlefield and supporting Tokoyami’s attacks in their efforts, All For One is only getting stronger he continues to use all of the quirks at his disposal. It’s here that Hawks notes how much Rewind has impacted the villain, and figures out that All For One’s quirks count as internal and thus aren’t taken away as All For One’s body changes back to its prime. 

All For One also notices this change as well, and reveals to himself that the more damage his body takes from the heroes, the more Rewind continues to wind back his age and body when it recovers. This has altered him further than before as he’s now a young adult version of himself, and with it comes a new voice actor. My Hero Academia has announced that Hiroshi Kamiya is now the voice for All For One’s new younger form, replacing the former star behind the villain, Akio Ohtsuka. 

My Hero Academia: Who Is Hiroshi Kamiya? 

Kamiya is a great late stage lock for My Hero Academia as it heads into its uncertain future. With the manga now ended, it’s likely that the My Hero Academia anime will be ending fairly soon as well. Anime fans might recognize Kamiya’s work as notable characters such as Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan, Trafalgar Law in One Piece, Kusuo Saiki in The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. and more. If he’s going to serve as the new voice of All For One in the fights to come, then the star has quite a lot on their shoulders for what’s to come. 

Kamiya will serve as the final voice for the villain in these final battles (until All For One makes an appearance within Tomura Shigaraki, of course), and that also means that My Hero Academia still has some huge moments for the villain before Season 7 comes to an end in just a few more weeks. As the anime world becomes bigger across the globe, fast food chains are recognizing the benefits of teaming up with some of the medium’s biggest franchises. McDonald’s created its own anime universe earlier this year in its “WcDonald’s” campaign and recently announced that its restaurants will be teaming up with the Hoyoverse video game, Genshin Impact. Genshin is a game that clearly has an anime aesthetic and a new anime adaptation is in the works. Recently, Burger King has teamed up with My Hero Academia in France to push some new food items and merch, and the “King” has taken a shot at McDonald’s recent anime campaign.

McDonald’s specifically has teamed up with several major anime franchises recently. On top of the recent Genshin Impact collaboration, the restaurants have collaborated with the likes of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, One Piece, and more. While Burger King’s recent My Hero Academia collaboration might only be in France, the anime crossover may make its way to North America should it prove to be a success.

McDonald’s Vs. Burger King

In a new social media post, Burger King “threw shade” at McDonald’s, stating that “My Hero Academia better” than Genshin Impact. While the video game has yet to unveil its anime adaptation that will be brought to life by Demon Slayer’s Ufotable down the road, it would be an interesting debate to see which franchise has cultivated a more passionate fanbase.

The WcDonald’s Campaign

Creating your own anime universe was something that McDonald’s did that proved their love of all things anime. Earlier this year, we here at ComicBook.com had the chance to talk with anime artist, Acky Bright, about the creation of the handful of anime characters in the WcDonald’s world, “I was aware that this campaign would be global and that many people all over the world would look at these characters, so it wasn’t just a domestic audience. I really wanted to pay attention to how diverse, cultural, and international aspects could be placed into all the characters so that anyone from any background could find their favorite character.”

Bright then took the chance to recognize the importance of the McDonald’s anime campaign, thrilled about the increasing popularity of anime around the world, “I go to Anime Expo and anime conventions quite often. I really feel the heat has been hotter every year, but nevertheless, I feel that the golden age is about to arrive. It’s not there yet, but in America, there are a lot of people who haven’t seen manga or anime. Doing this kind of campaign with McDonald’s, I am expecting that anime and manga will be seen by more people, which might make them fans in the future. In that sense, this campaign is very meaningful.”

My Hero Academia is still in the throes of its seventh season, seeing each member of Class 1-A joining the fight against All For One and Shigaraki. While the anime adaptation still has some major moments to cover, the shonen series’ manga has already ended. Thanks to this fact, creator Kohei Horikoshi now finds himself with a lot of time on his hands. Instead of working on new adventures of Izuku Midoriya and friends, the mangaka is creating new art to reflect the latest episodes. Thanks to Mina Ashido getting a spotlight in the latest anime episode, Horikoshi has shared a new piece of art focusing on Pinky. 

In the eighteenth episode of My Hero Academia’s seventh season, All For One has never been stronger. Thanks to using Eri’s Quirk to heal himself, the clock is ticking on the Demon Lord as his body is responding to attacks by making All For One younger. This power has a double-edged sword for the heroes as they have to hang on for All For One to be de-aged out of existence, but the big bad has attained his ultimate power. While All For One might be the biggest threat, Mina Ashido is taking on a familiar threat that hasn’t appeared since the anime’s first episode.

Mina Ashido’s Acid Man

In fighting against the antagonist simply known as the “Sludge Villain”, Mina demonstrates her ability to wield her Quirk with her ultimate attack dubbed “Acid Man”. In the latest art from Kohei Horikoshi, the My Hero Academia creator breaks down how the technique came to be, “The My Hero Academia anime is coming up soon! Ashido’s special move “Acid Man” is borrowed from the band ACIDMAN. I’ve loved listening to it since high school, and it’s one of the pieces of music that’s become part of me. Thank you, ACIDMAN.”

Mina Ashido’s True Strength

While Mina has the power to produce acid, Ashido’s heart is what shined in the anime’s latest episode. In fighting against the Sludge Villain, the pink heroine states that her desire to be a hero is to get closer to as many people as she can. In using “Acid Man”, we are able to get a brief glimpse at what Mina might look like without her pink exterior and it grants her the power to take down the first villain of the series.

One big element of Mina Ashido’s life for fans has been her relationship with Eijiro Kirishima, aka Red Riot. While the two have never had a romantic relationship in the series to date, it certainly seems like they might be headed in that direction. As Red Riot held up Mina, he stated that Ashido has always been his hero.

My Hero Academia’s Anime Future

The seventh season only has four episodes left before this current batch of episodes draws to a close. While My Hero Academia has yet to confirm if an eighth season is in the works, it would make sense that there would be one final season to create the series finale that we’ve seen in the manga. On top of the television series, My Hero Academia: You’re Next will hit theaters in North America next month. While this will be the fourth movie of the shonen franchise, it hasn’t been confirmed to be the last.

My Hero Academia has All For One on the ropes, as season seven’s top heroes are giving it their all to take down the demon lord. Receiving a blow from the number one hero Endeavor that would have killed almost anyone, Shigaraki’s “mentor” was forced to use his trump card. Using the “Rewind” Quirk of Eri, All For One has never been stronger but this strength comes with a major price. The “big bad” not only has his wounds healed by reversing them but the same applies to his age. Becoming younger with each passing moment, All For One is still a major threat and has stolen the Quirk of a major hero to prove it.

Warning. If you have yet to watch the latest episode of My Hero Academia’s seventh season, episode eighteen, be forewarned that we’ll be diving into serious spoiler territory. All For One might have received some big backup from the likes of Toga and Dabi, but the demon lord still has some major challenges in his way. The bird-headed hero Tokoyami has unleashed his ultimate attack, Baldur’s Light, which sees Dark Shadow pounding the villain into the dirt. On top of this, Mt. Lady has joined the gray with an unexpected ally, Gigantomachia.

All For One on The Ropes

Gigantomachia did not switch sides like Gentle Criminal, La Brava, Lady Nagant, and Kurogiri, rather, the larger-than-life villain has been brainwashed by Shinso. The masked hero was able to use his Quirk on All For One’s giant underling, meaning that Tokoyami and Mt. Lady have gained a major ally. Unfortunately for all the heroes involved, the beating that All For One received had an unexpected effect. The villain now is stronger than ever thanks to his younger form and delivers attacks that are able to take down all three heroes.

While the three aren’t dead, they are barely hanging on and All For One stands triumphant over the heroes. In attempting to deliver a strike that will kill the demon lord, Hawks gets in close to deliver a feather strike that he hoped to take down the villain. Unfortunately for the number two hero, the blow not only didn’t kill All For One, it put Hawks within reach of the de-aging antagonist.

Hawks Loses His Quirk

While All For One has plenty of Quirks at his disposal that he has stolen over the years, one of the villain’s most dangerous aspects is his ability to steal the powers of anyone that he touches. For Hawks, the number two hero is gripped by the throat and his Quirk, “Fierce Wings” has been transferred to All For One. Considering how Keigo Takami has been putting his powers to good use over the course of the superhero shonen, the heroes have lost a major advantage in the fight against the League of Villains. 

Onle four episodes remain in My Hero Academia’s seventh season but there are still some major moments that will transpire before the season finale. As is shown in the next episode preview, titled “I Am Here”, All Might is about to take a more direct approach, entering the battlefield. While anime fans might wonder how the now powerless crime fighter hopes to take on All For One, manga readers are well aware that Toshinori is set to lend a hand to Deku and the other members of UA Academy.

My Hero Academia’s manga might be in the can but the anime adaptation still has some major battles, character moments, and events to cover before it too reaches its grand finale. As the seventh season inches toward its finale, laying the groundwork for a possible eighth season, a new preview hints at the next steps for Class 1-A in the fight against Shigaraki, All For One, and their army. While plenty of heroes are featured in the preview, Mina Ashido, aka Pinky The Alien Queen, has garnered attention from fans thanks to her Quirk being shown off in full display.

For those who need a refresher, Mina’s power gives her mastery over acid, which she is able to excrete from her body to point at a target. As the superhero shonen series has continued, Ashido has managed to gain more power over her Quirk and anime fans are preparing to see what she can do in this final battle. With the heroes spread out trying to fight back the countless villains looking to overthrow Hero Society, Mina hasn’t received as much attention in comparison to some of her cohorts. Luckily, the anime adaptation hasn’t forgotten her and it seems like she has a new power that has some fans surprised from what they’ve seen so far.

Mina’s True Power Unleashed 

The eighteenth episode of My Hero Academia’s seventh season is titled “It’s A Small World” and is clearly taking an opportunity to show numerous sections of the final fight’s battlefield. On top of Mina getting in on the action, anime fans also get glimpses of the heroes and villains making up the confrontation. Surprisingly enough, the very brief glimpse of Ashido here has fans talking about Pinky’s Ultimate Quirk and what it does to her body specifically.

Mina Ashido In A Different Light

Thanks to the source material being printed in black and white, many My Hero Academia fans wondered what lay beneath Pinky’s pink exterior. Thanks to the latest promo, fans are given a brief glimpse of Mina’s exterior thanks to the use of her ultimate power. As anime fans take to social media, a debate has arisen as the anime adaptation did something that the manga couldn’t. 

Season Seven Isn’t Done Yet

While this October might have some of the biggest arrivals and returns in anime’s history, My Hero Academia remains one of the biggest anime adaptations of the fall season. With only scant few episodes remaining, anime fans are wondering if Studio Bones has saved the best for last. Considering some of the pivotal moments that this final battle has left in the tank, anime fans better buckle up for some wild moments.

This October will also see the fourth film of the franchise, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, making 2024 one of the biggest years for the shonen series to date. Rather than fighting the likes of Shigaraki and All For One in the movie, Class 1-A is instead taking on a dark doppelganger in Dark Might. Sharing both the powers and appearance of Toshinori Yagi, Dark Might is looking to be one of the biggest challenges for UA Academy. Fans can head to theaters beginning on October 11th to check out the latest My Hero Academia movie.

My Hero Academia followed Izuku Midoriya’s journey as he used the power of One For All to take down some of history’s biggest villains, but one of the big questions that still remains from the series is whether or not Mirio Togata would have been a better holder of this unique power. Kohei Horikoshi’s officially ended My Hero Academia’s manga run to an end in the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine after ten years of serialization, and fans saw Deku’s journey come to an end after everything he had been through over the course of its duration. 

My Hero Academia saw Deku taking on all sorts of challenges head on to push himself beyond his limits with One For All even when his body had rejected it. There was one period in his journey when his use of the power was unclear, however, and that was when he was first introduced to the top student within U.A. Academy. Mirio was introduced as the best student in the school working under All Might’s former sidekick, Sir Nighteye. And during all of this, Deku learned that Mirio was originally meant to inherit the power. 

How Mirio Could Have Ended Up With One For All

During the lead into the Shie Hassaikai arc, one of the big discoveries that Deku had learned while heading into his internship with a pro hero was that Mirio was originally meant to be the young hero that All Might passed down the power of One For All to. All Might had all but decided to pass down his power because Mirio was not only the top student at the school, but seemed to be the closest to All Might himself at that time. Thanks to the fact that his main focus was making people smile, to Deku Mirio seemed like the perfect fit. 

In meeting Mirio too, Deku had begun to doubt whether or not he was the right one to hold One For All’s power. It was All Might making a decision on the fly that led to Deku gaining the ability instead, and he had since been fighting an uphill battle to get his body to adjust to the flux of power. While it all eventually worked out in the end because Deku didn’t have a quirk of his own to fight back against all of the stored power within One For All, it could have gone much differently. 

What If Mirio Got One For All Instead? 

But suppose things happened differently than they did in My Hero Academia. If All Might had passed down One For All to Mirio instead, it would be a dramatically different story than seen with Deku. Not only would the scope of the fights change as Mirio wouldn’t have to work from square one like Deku, but the entire fabric of the story would have played out in dramatically altered fashion. It’s sort of like a sliding doors effect as this seemingly small change makes it an alternate universe entirely. 

The characters in the series wouldn’t be seen at all as Bakugo, Uraraka and the others would join Class 1-A and move on with their lives while the main focus would be on Mirio’s life with the Big 3. There’s also the fact that the fights would have gone much differently as well. Shigaraki and All For One wouldn’t have targeted Class 1-A with the Nomu without Mirio present, and the Shie Hassaikai arc likely would have gone much differently if Mirio was able to use One For All’s boost. But that’s only when thinking about the impact on the story too. It’d be different when factoring in One For All’s development within Mirio too. 

Would Mirio Have Used One For All Better? 

If Mirio got One For All’s power instead, he wouldn’t have had to spend so much time adjusting his body to having a quirk within it like Deku did. It would mean getting to train with One For All much faster than Deku did, and likely getting to higher points of control and use of its boosting power much faster. Deku not having a quirk at the time made him a perfect host for the ability, and Mirio would have had the same perfect timing if he lost his power during the Shie Hassaikai arc in the same way as he did in My Hero Academia. But since it’s all different, his version of One For All would still work. 

As we discovered later in My Hero Academia‘s run, each of the past vestiges had smaller quirks that didn’t really amount to be the kind of game changing abilities as fans would have thought. All Might was the strongest user to that point thanks to how well he was able to use its overall stockpiled power, but Mirio’s version would have taken that to the next level thanks to how it would have impacted his own quirk. Boosting this ability would have made him a much more adept fighter too. 

The current version of Mirio is able to phase through enemies and strike with the help of others, but he doesn’t really have as much impact on his own. One For All would give him that power, and then boost it even further. And when he would eventually unlock the other abilities within it like Deku did, it’s highly likely that he would have been able to use these abilities as well. But at the same time, it’s great that Deku got One For All instead. 

Mirio would have indeed been the better One For All user overall due to experience alone, but Deku ultimately had more heart. Deku’s fight as an underdog ultimately served to inspire everyone he came into contact with. Mirio would have helped them smile, sure, but Deku went deeper into their hearts. It was seeing his struggle that inspired everyone to move, and Mirio just doesn’t have that impact.

My Hero Academia: You’re Next is the next silver-screen movie of the superhero shonen series that has already hit Japanese theaters and is looking to do the same in North America next month. For the fourth film of the franchise, Deku and Class 1-A aren’t taking on the likes of All For One, Shigaraki, Nine, or the Humanize cult but rather, are taking on a foe that looks far more familiar. Dark Might appears to be a sinister doppelganger of the former Symbol of Peace and is looking to give the heroes a run for their money, as the new English Dub trailer demonstrates. 

For those who might not have followed the updates on You’re Next, the movie is not just pitting One For All against this new villain Dark Might but seemingly also incorporating some antagonists that have a mafia aesthetic. One major element that the fourth film will have, that many other My Hero Academia stories do not, is a love story. New characters Giulio and Anna will apparently have a relationship with series creator Kohei Horikoshi sharing the following about the pair in a recent interview, “The relationship between Giulio and Anna is a part of the goal point where Deku and the others will eventually reach. The movie as a standalone in itself is interesting, but if you watch the movie then return to the actual story, then you might feel ‘oh so this is where the story leads to.’ As such, please pay attention to Giulio and Anna in the movie!”  

You’re Next In English

It should come as no surprise that many of the English voice actors that have created My Hero Academia’s English Dub will be making a comeback for the fourth film of the franchise. Since Dark Might himself is a dark reflection of All Might, Toshinori Yagi’s voice actor Chris Sabat will be taking on the role of the movie’s “big bad”. As for the new villains, Giulio and Anna Scervino will be voiced by Mauricios Ortiz-Segura (Kaiju No. 8) and Kayli Millis (Jujutsu Kaisen). 

Are More My Hero Academia Movies on The Way?

While You’re Next hasn’t been confirmed to be the final film of the series, it has arrived around the same time as the manga’s final chapter release. Bringing a definitive ending to UA Academy’s story, many fans are left wondering if the silver screen entries might give fans a look at the future of Class 1-A past the printed page. While nothing is set in stone, shonen fans are left to wonder if the fifth film will be the franchise’s finale or if Kohei Horikoshi might continue the series in a surprising way via feature-length films where he can take a more backseat approach to his world.

Luckily, the television series is still going strong with its seventh season. Also not billed as the franchise’s last hoorah on the small screen, the latest season might be the penultimate season for the shonen series. The final fight is still underway and is sure to warrant one more season before we bid a fond farwell to Class 1-A on our television screens. While there are only a handful of episodes left in the latest season, expect some major moments to take place as Deku continues to fight Shigaraki and countless other battles that are making season seven one of the anime’s biggest.

Shigaraki has earned his place as not only one of the biggest villains in My Hero Academia’s history but has easily become one of anime’s most recognizable villains. First premiering with a disturbing look that saw the villain arrive with several disembodied hands clinging to his body, the decaying villain has evolved quite a bit since first threatening UA Academy. Unfortunately, this evolution has become quite a problem for Class 1-A. While Shigaraki’s story has ended in the shonen’s manga, it continues in the anime adaptation and a concept poster has been released for a fictional spin-off focusing on the inheritor of All For One. 

While an official villainous My Hero Academia spin-off has never been confirmed, that hasn’t stopped the superhero shonen series from creating its fair share of side stories to explore the world. One of the biggest has been My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, garnering over one hundred chapters and exploring the lives of vigilantes who operate outside of the law to fight crime. While never confirmed for an anime adaptation, Vigilantes is a story that fans have been waiting to see animated. On the lighter side, spin-offs including My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions, My Hero Academia: Smash, and My Heroine Academia have focused on more heartfelt stories involving Class 1-A’s heroes. 

Shigaraki’s Spin-Off In The Making

While the fifth season of the anime gave anime fans a closer look at the antagonists during the “My Villain Academia Arc”, it unfortunately never gave us a unique series focusing on the League of Villains or the Meta Liberation Army. The shonen series has taken more than one opportunity to dive into Shigaraki’s past but there is a treasure trove of background that anime fans have yet to see. A spin-off has not been confirmed but this poster makes for a good idea of what a Shigaraki spin-off could look like.

Shigaraki’s Seventh Season: Where Is He Now?

My Hero Academia’s seventh season has almost been one big fight featuring the heroes of UA Academy taking on the hordes following All For One’s ideals. In this current battle, Shigaraki has never been stronger as his new powers make him one of the most terrifying beings in the world today. Even with Eraserhead and Monoma halting the use of his Quirks, Shigaraki’s body was able to find a workaround that nearly killed Bakugo and made him a serious threat to the heroes all the same. 

In recent episodes, Izuku Midoriya was finally able to make his way back to UA Academy following a Toga-sized roadblock. Despite Deku joining his friends outside of the school and his continued mastery of One For All, the fight’s victor is still up in the air. However, the anime brings its final fight to a close, expect the Studio Bones production to end with a bang.

My Hero Academia’s Anime Future

My Hero Academia’s seventh season has not been confirmed to be the franchise’s last but based on the manga’s events, it’s a safe bet that season eight will act as the grand finale. On the movie front, My Hero Academia: You’re Next is the fourth film of the franchise, recently hitting theaters in Japan. Set to do the same in North America next month, the film introduces a new familiar dubbed “Dark Might”, an antagonist that appears to have the same appearance and powers as the one-time Symbol of Peace. The fourth movie also hasn’t been billed as the series’ last though anime fans are now left wondering how many more movies the series will create following the manga’s ending.

My Hero Academia is now in its final stretch of episodes for Season 7, and the newest episode has expanded its fighters as Shiketsu High School’s young heroes finally make their way to the battle. Izuku Midoriya and the other young heroes are now deep in the final fights against Tomura Shigaraki and All For One, and each time they seem to make headway against them the villains only seem to get stronger. But as the villains get stronger with each episode, the heroes are starting to band together with even more allies joining their side in the last few episodes. 

The tide of the war has started to turn as the heroes have been getting some unexpected help from new allies. These include former villains like Gentle Criminal, La Brava, and Lady Nagant, and the newest episode takes it even further with even more hero students from Shiketsu High School. After playing such a big role in the series during the events of the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc and the Remedial Course arc, the students are now popping in at a crucial time for the final fights. 

Shiketsu Returns in My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 17 sees Shiketsu High School suddenly appear in the fight against All For One. As Hawks and the others were struggling against All For One’s regained power in the episode, Hawks is saved thanks to Camie Utsushimi’s ability to craft illusions. She makes one for Hawks, and it takes the hit against All For One instead. It makes for quite the hilarious mix up for Fumikage Tokoyami as well as Camie’s illusions take on a much different kind of style than Hawks ever had. 

Camie’s not the only one that shows up, however, as the rest of Shiketsu’s students soon follow for support. It’s revealed that they were defending another stronghold for civilians, and were readying to take those who had fled from another one. But when those new people didn’t arrive, Shiketsu figured out something was going wrong and decided to step into the battle themselves. It’s here that they joined the fight, and Inasa Yoarashi’s quirk really comes into play as he quickly sweeps up many of the Twice Doubles into multiple tornadoes with ease. 

Why Shiketsu’s Return Is Important

Shiketsu High School played a fairly significant role during the Provisional Hero License Exam as they served as the main rival school against Class 1-A. Each of them had their own powerful abilities, and their ideologies clashed with the young heroes of U.A. Academy and it led to a pretty direct rivalry throughout the exam. This even led into the results of cede exam as both U.A. and Shiketsu had some notable failures such as Katsuki Bakugo and Yoarashi, and they needed to work together much more closely later. 

It was a bit unfair for Camie as she was replaced by Himiko Toga before the exam, and thus failed without really getting a chance to take the test herself, but as a result, series creator Kohei Horikoshi was able to bring her back in the series later and fully reveal her illusion ability. Now it’s come in clutch in the final fight against All For One, and she, Yoarashi, and the rest of Shiketsu have come in full to bring this fight full circle. With this war it had felt rather contained to just U.A. itself, so this shows that every hero student is wrapped up in everything that’s been happening thus far.

My Hero Academia Season 7 has moved forward with a crucial new step in the fight between the heroes and villains, and the newest episode of the anime has shown off the full power of Fumikage Tokoyami’s quirk. My Hero Academia has been steadily getting ready for the grand finale of the franchise as Izuku Midoriya and the other heroes have been facing off in their final fights against Tomura Shigaraki, All For One, and all of the other villains. It’s led each of the heroes to show off their biggest moves, and now it’s time for Tokoyami to shine. 

My Hero Academia‘s previous episodes have seen Deku and the other heroes trying out their final gambits to deal as much damage to the villains as they can, but it’s been a tough case for All For One. Endeavor and Hawks did deal a respectable amount of damage to the villain in the fight previously, but then All For One used an ability to rewind his body and return it to the peak of his power. It’s been a much bigger challenge to overcome, but it’s one Tokoyami is willing to do head on with his new Ultimate Move. 

What Is Tokoyami’s Ultimate Move? 

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 17 continues the chaos across multiple battlefields as while Deku is still fighting against Shigaraki, the other heroes are struggling against All For One. The battle has changed in some significant ways, however, as due to the flux of powers in the environment, the weather has changed around them. It’s covered everything in dark clouds, and it’s become the perfect environment for Tokoyami too. In fact, he quickly devised a plan with the other heroes to use his ability to its fullest extent. 

As Hawks tries to land a blow on All For One and fails, the villain is priming himself to use even more combinations of his abilities to take out the heroes. But suddenly, a massive Dark Shadow begins to loom overhead. It’s revealed that Tokoyami has been building Dark Shadow to this new size thanks to the help of a hero nearby giving him a place to quickly hide out and build it up. As Tokoyami explains, thanks to the dark clouds overhead he has been able to fully manifest Dark Shadow to a bigger size than ever before. 

Tokoyami Attacks All For One

As Tokoyami grows this Dark Shadow to a huge new level, he thinks to himself that while All For One might say he’s a dark lord who rules over darkness, Tokoyami has been spending all his life within this darkness and has become one with it. It’s here he strikes All For One with Black Abyss: Light of Baldur to send the villain crashing to the ground. Tokoyami ended up being the perfect foil for All For One as his quirk is one that the villain couldn’t really steal just by touching its darkness. 

He reveals that he was there to support Hawks and Endeavor in the first place because All Might explained that when All For One had touched Endeavor’s flames, it wasn’t enough to steal his quirk. So thanks to Tokoyami having a quirk that would hit All For One without giving him a chance to steal it, this major move with Dark Shadow is likely going to be one of the most successful attacks on the villain in the fight so far. But at the same time, this war is also far from over as My Hero Academia Season 7 continues.

My Hero Academia ended its run with Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine earlier this Summer, and Kohei Horikoshi’s original manga series capped off a ten year long wrong with that final chapter. My Hero Academia has exploded into a worldwide reaching series over the course of its decade long tenure, and the franchise will likely continue to grow in the future with new anime releases, feature films, and more as fans are drawn to the now completed manga as a result of these endeavors. 

My Hero Academia has crossed over many impressive sales milestones across its ten year run in many territories, and it recently hit a new mark in France. To commemorate crossing the ten million copies sold mark in the region, publisher Ki-oon has erected a massive tribute to the manga with a giant recreation of its very first volume. Placed in perfect view of the Eiffel Tower, it goes to show just how big of a worldwide, blockbuster hit My Hero Academia has become in the ten years since its original debut in Japan. How to Read and Watch My Hero Academia

If you wanted to catch up with the My Hero Academia anime thus far, you can find all six previous seasons and the now airing Season 7 streaming its episodes weekly this Summer with Crunchyroll. You also can find Kohei Horikoshi‘s now complete My Hero Academia manga series with either Viz Media’s digital Shonen Jump library or Shueisha’s MangaPlus service if you wanted to read further and work all the way to the end. Either way you choose to experience the series, you’ll be able to figure out why it’s been such a massive hit around the world.

It’s the best time to get into the series too as with the manga officially ended, My Hero Academia fans are now glued to each new episode of the anime as it’s going to be the only way to get new experiences from the story (at least for now). The anime has been airing its episodes through the Summer, but it’s also going to be reaching its grand finale soon enough as well. The manga’s ending now lays out a perfect roadmap for the adaptation to follow with at least another season. 

Why Is My Hero Academia So Popular? 

My Hero Academia has become such a hit around the world thanks to that worldwide scope of its story. Although its main conflict is focused in Japan, it’s clear that it’s a fight that has ramifications across hero society as a whole. There are brief run-ins with different countries especially as the series gets into more intense fights against the villains, but it just feels universal in how Izuku Midoriya and the other young heroes approach their various futures. It’s why it’s had such an appeal with such a wide audience. 

My Hero Academia takes the tropes and ideas of superhero comics, and puts them through a new manga creative lens. It’s translated the values that makes pure superhero comic stories work, and added even more layers of darkness and depth that fans would hope to see in a classic Shonen Jump fight series. With a wide cast of characters for both the heroes and villains, it’s no wonder that fans have all kinds have fallen in love with Kohei Horikoshi’s series over the years and continue to celebrate it even after it ended.
